  7. Hey guys So I live in Brisbane and have been after a mining or drillers offsider job for about 3 months now. Im pretty much fed up with sending thousands of emails and making hundreds of calls so im heading over to try my luck probably within about 8 weeks if I can get my sh!t together quickly and organise the logistics of the plan.. My plan is to try to have a accommodation and a temp forklift or truck job either lined up for when I get there or soon after to tide me over while I scout the drillers/mine jobs. Ive got forklift LF and LO and HR and first aid and im 32. As well ill want my car there and will be organising to have it trucked over to be there when I get there. So basically if anyones got any helpful info on: - Where to live (if youve got a room let me know!) - Who to transport my car over - Easy to get labouring/forklift job for the short term - Anything else I need to know like transferring car rego and that kind of stuff Ive met a bunch of the brisbane blokes from here and vouch for me if youve got a spare room or anything for the time being. Cheers for any info guys! Tim. I
  8. Cheers yeah I was more surprised than anyone that they turned out that well, and to last without chips too. Theyre genuine too not knockoffs so I was a bit hesitant but wouldnt go back now I only painted the silver face part too, the grey inner was left untouched.
  9. Forget powdercoating too, just get some satin black cans from Autobarn and theyll turn out like mine. Just make sure you prep them properly and give a light sand. Half a days work and $50 worth of gear and still looking like the day I did them a year and a half ago.
  10. Happy Birthday berzerker!

  11. I didnt want to lose that feature either but I was told by Northfield when I got my Alpine installed that it costs about $250 for the part needed to get it working. So not worth it imo
  12. Please stay on topic hawlass, this thread is about the irish xr6turbo community mate
  13. Seems like theyre just charging $150 for the bluetooth obd2. Still need a Garmin NUVI to use it.. I could buy the Torque app and a bluetooth obd2 for $20, hook it up to my Samsung Galaxy and have the same thing, and save $250
  14. Not really mate, ive seen cars running the standard piping with over 320rwkw
  15. I thought I went too far with black look. This guy even painted the badges black. Looks good. Well done, and nice touch with the 427 cube.

RSPEC that vid was gold.. Yep id be doing the exact same thing Dillz. By the way people forget that Coke and any other opiate/amphetamine is out of your system and undetectable within 18 hours so I guarantee hes still hittin the gear. All he needs is a day to dry out before each drug test. Rest of the time he be bangin 7g rocks
  19. about 9 hours into a 30 hour job..
  20. Got any pics worm? How does it get air, do you leave the spotty out?
  21. I remember I got my 245/35/19's at $255 from tyrepower which was far cheaper than id found anywhere else. I have no idea why yours and my experiences from them are so different mate.. Its odd to say the least. But since the Toyos ive changed to Federal EVO's. I was speaking to Karl (HIRO) about a year ago and was surprised when I noticed that he was only running on 245 wide tyres with the power he has (450+rwkw) and he said that the Federals actually performed really really well. So of course having far less power in my car (330rwkw) and once I had deliberately worn out the Toyos as quick as I could I swapped over and man - what a difference. No more aquaplaning and just far far more grip. Found a place near me that sell them cheaper than the Toyos too. So yeah no idea how people have conflicting stories. Different cars, different more aggressive tunes maybe? Although mines far from that.. but the aquaplaning side of things dont add up.
