  5. Your best bet would be to read all the light catalouge's at places like Supercheap, Auto-One etc. It will list every bulb to go in and out of the car. There you'll find the standard globes and upgraded globes with the comparisons between them all. Hope this helps. Hooroo
  6. Didnt know where to post this but I used this guide to install my gauges and I got the guide from this site> I dont know who made the guide but if it was someone from this site, you should know it is being sold on ebay, I found it the other day. http://cgi.ebay.com.au/FORD-FPV-GT-BA-BF-G...LLATION-PAPERS- Is it someone from here?
  7. I was acid to pay $3 each, but as its been said, what you're gettin charged is daylit robbery. How they justify that is beyond me, yesterday I brought 20 small scrivets, (round spike lookin thing that a plastic screw screws into, keeps guards in place, grilles etc) and 6 larger scrivets and they were $65 total, there is alot more plastic in the scrivets and there is 2 parts to them, doesnt make sense! But once the lugs are gone from the tub it looks heaps better.
  8. Cheers guys, ill give that a try today and see what it does. For what its worth, ive read numerous times that the stock gauges are not good, but cause ive spent all this time trying to track standard F6 parts, I want to get them working, then once they are working, in my own time however long it may be, ill change them out, but for now, I want to get them working.
  9. I took my plum-back line off (and plugged it) of my BOV for the time it takes to use a tank of fuel and it made everything WORSE, made horrible whooshing sounds when backing off the throttle, no crisp "Pssht" sound that I was expecting, fuel usage went from 550km to a tank to 400km a tank, (driving to and from work up and down freeway) it felt slower on accelleration and even at idle the discharge side of the BOV was letting pressure out, so imagine how much air it would have been passing at full noise! I hooked my plum-back line up and left it after that, much better for me. Anyone else had similar effects?
  10. But they should at least read/move more than one increment?
  11. Hey guys, Over time I have been collecting small F6 bits of interest mainly through ebay. Sourced an F6 pod with gauges and loom a year ago, got the oil and boost sender units, then a sandwich plate for the oil filter (which didnt fit, still sourcing another one if someone can help), now the intercooler. Used this guide.. http://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/index.ph..._post&f=113 for the install of the gauges. Turned out I was missing some loom but made one to suite. So ive hooked up the boost gauge, and it comes up to the first line on the gauge, ill give it some revs and it will be lucky to move up to the next measurement on the gauge, so im thinking somehting is wrong, oil pressure gauge is at max as its not connected yet. So ive taken power away from the gauges for now till I can work out why things are not happening correctly, only illumination lights are connected. At idle, where is the stocko F6 boost gauge meant to read on the dial? First line? Middle line? Any help would be appreciated. Cheers Shane
  12. Hey guys, I fitted an F6 intercooler on the ute today, relatively straight forward but time consuming, also fitted the gauge wiring loom, Very time consuming, anyway,, Now that ive changed the exhaust (cat back) added the bigger intercooler, CAI & panel filter, should I be going for a tune now or should it be ok? Has anyone done these mild mods and noticed any difference in fuel consuption whether it be an increase or decrease? As tonight when I took it for a little run it seemed to be using more fuel. Any ideas/thoughts.... Cheers Shane
