Yeah, I had quotes all over the place just above and below $2500pa. My total excess was quoted around $2000 after including the age and other excess witht the standard. Under 25 and the insurance brokers will rape you a new one.

The same results can be achieved at home...but it does take a lot of hard work and time to do it. Pretty satisfying when you finally finish though and doesn't cost much. Your car looks awesome though.

Yeah, by just tightening the cable it will last a few times and the cable will stretch. Follow old mates way and you will have no problems but in saying that ford hand brakes have always been gay and won't work as well as a jap hand brake. not sure what Expensive Daewoo have to offer but from what I've heard they are a similar setup to ford

6 speeds whether auto of manual still whips that old 5 speed though. a lot of research was put into these boxes.

Ford brakes in general are pretty sucky. Crappy 2 potters in brand new turbo cars, c'mon.

Standard exhaust minus middle muffler is good for plenty of power. BF exhaust anyways, as the dump is a better design. Upgrading intercooler and re-routing piping is a really good idea though as standard cooler has a pretty big pressure drop

It's expensive owning a car mate. 98 in brissie is about 150 some days. I now only use the car if I am making a decent trip.
