I guess so. I don't think too many will argue that 13.6 is a bad time for a stock XR6T. :o <{POST_SNAPBACK}> With a 2 second 60' time I don't think it is the driver helping the 13.6 achieved. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> With a stock car What else would be helping. The Sydney equivalent of the Fremantle Doctor ? a 2.0 60" time is quite fair for a XR6T. I think only big mick and perhaps Geea have gone 1.9 on street tyres. ( pls correct me if I am mistaken ) PSI

Geeseman, what theory do you apply to my T with 183rwkw & factory limited torque doing 13.6? Cheers PSI
  4. Hi Geea, are you allowed to have passengers at Calder ? Nice correction too.. Cheers PSI
  5. Wait for next months Motor Magazine. I believe they have an article on both the F6 and a GT with the new 6 speed. This months MM has a spiel on the new GEN IV HSV`s. These articles may help. For me it would be the F6. Cheers PSI
  6. Ken, any of the first 3 are a good bet. But I think a 325CI with 20" chrome wheels and a M badge will top them all.
  7. P.S.I... was that you in the blueprint T ????? I was the tall guy that was talkin to ya with the bad foot... I was with matt (owned the silver T) he ended up running a 12.5 on street tyres... very tidy effort... was a great night Yes that was me. 12.5 that is a fantastic time. I had to leave earlier than expected and did not catch up with Matt to see how his last run went. Hope to catch up with you both next time Cheers PSI
  8. Hi Geea, With your filter down under the guard what are the chances of the hydraulic lock due to water ingress ? Cheers PSI
  9. JB, Perhaps Ford have had this idea in the pipeline for sometime. Remember the 2003 Targa Tassie car ? it was running all of the Typhoon gear. In regards to the number crunchers, the man who piloted the Targa tassie car was Steve Hoinville who is also Fords Senior Suspension engineer. I know you are just venting so pls take this post will a grain on NaCl. Cheers PSI
  10. Apart from waiting 45 minutes for a run, wouldn`t a trip to the drags be more cost effective ( WSID $45.00 = 5-7 runs ). You can legally do 160km/h ++, a burnout and you get a time slip. Just my opinion Cheers PSI
  11. Contact APS and see if they have a "demo"car. Croydon Autosports here in Sydney took me for a blat in their PH2 ute. Cheers PSI
  12. Hi Geea, I only saw one other T on the night. Unfortunately I could not beat my 13.6, and had to settle for a 13.81. Cheers PSI
  13. Hi Turbodewd, The 13.6 run was done & night with 1/2 tank of Optimax & 25psi in the rears. Driver mass = 78kg I went to WSID on Wednesday but could only manage a best of 13.81. Cheers PSI ps great work on the chart
  14. Hi Turbodewd, I have just had my car on the dyno and it produced 183.1rwkw. I can post the graph if needed. Cheers PSI Who's dyno mate Hi Jeff I took my car to Spiro`s ( Autotech ) Cheers PSI
  15. Is anyone heading out to WSID tonight ?? I will be there & just wondering if there will be any other forum members attending. Cheers PSI
  16. Hi Turbodewd, I have just had my car on the dyno and it produced 183.1rwkw. I can post the graph if needed. Cheers PSI
  17. No probs Turbodewd. in this interest of parity I will organise a dyno run. Cheers PSI
  18. Hi Brian, you are very lucky. I have seen photos of flywheel`s being sent into orbit. Not pretty. The bolts you sheared are an odd rating ( 11.9 ) std HT hex bolts are usually 8.8 and 10.9 for the higher grade. I think your dowelling idea is spot on. You may also want to fit a set of Unbrako socket head cap screws ( 12.9 grade ), or a similar aviation fastener Cheers PSI
  19. Turbodewd, could you pls update the list to show my time ( see below ). I have not run mine on a dyno, so to ensure that I make the list put me down for 190rwkw. This seemes to be the average for a stock T. Thanks PSI
  20. The front rotors on the premiums are made by a company called Rossini, who manufacture them under licence from Brembo. Either way I think their great
  21. Hey Killbot, MY recipe for 2.0.. 60` times 25psi in rear tyres ( factory dunlops ) small burnout 2000rpm stall Auto Performance mode I found that stalling up to 2000rpm on the 1st staging light ( instead of the second )got the car "on boost" more effectively and improved my 60` times from around 2.2 to 2.0 Cheers PSI
  22. Well done Turbodewd. I am sure APS would hate the fact that my stock boost, injectors & exhaust T runs 13.6`s...... I know Geea asked but what were your 60`time & MPH? Did you manually shift or use the auto ? Cheers PSI
  23. Jeff , I will let the other chaps post up their own . Struggled with traction a bit but pulled a 12.701 for a PB. Ran 12.8/9 consistently. MPH was solid at 114/115 mph so 60' needs some more work Still need to go for a night run in the cooler air, with some decent tread and there is a 12.5 up for grabs Julian Hi Julian, great time mate . Did you get chance to settle the score with Peter ( PDV 666 ) ?? I am waiting for the rest of the times to see how my 13.6 compares.. Cheers PSI
  24. I purchased a repairable write off Subaru RX wagon for my wife. I got it for a good price, but at the end of the day the saving I made was NOT worth the hassle and heartache involved. Like the others have stated you need to have some good contacts in the parts/panel & paint game. Dagabond, I dont know about laws against fixing write-offs, but I know I had to take the car to an RTA inspection station where I was sat in a small room and made to wait whilst they checked to see if the car had been re-birthed. Good Luck.
