  1. Hi k31th...
I thought I'd get away with it but since the H brace has gone I've started cracking the dump pipe around the flange where it bolts to the turbo...

I've migged it up with some bracing around the top flange but I reckon it'll break again with the amount of weight hanging off it...🤔

  2. Guys Im running a BF F6 with 4" dump, 6" cat and dual 2.5 exhaust...
The H brace that supports the Turbo is buggered and I want to do away with it because its a bitch to get on and off.

So I'd like to know if anybody has come up with a better way to support the weight of the front half of the exhaust system?

The manifold, turbo and dump adds up to a lot of weight hanging by the manifold studs...

I can make a bracket that will hold the system at the back of the cat but thought I'd run it by you guys in case somebody has come up with a better idea?

    Thanks guys....

  3. I've got an Rspec Typhoon and I do track days........one of the best mods I've ever done was to fit a set of adjustable coilovers to it.....

Turned an already good car into a great car......;)

And don't think you need top shelf ones either.......the ozrace setup I've got on mine does the job just fine.....and the front and rear owes me less than 1500 bucks.

  4. There's a lesbian couple living next door to me. Really attractive and fit young ladies.

I've got to know them quite well over the last year or so and have helped them out with a few tasks around the house and in the garden.

Just before Christmas they said they wanted to thank me and asked what I'd like for a Christmas present.

I was surprised when they knocked on my door on Christmas Day and gave me a new Rolex.

They must have misunderstood me when I'd said "I want to watch".

  5. Last night my daughter leaves her place to drive a friend home......on their way up the street they see that some idiot has overturned about a dozen wheely bins and there's rubbish everywhere......
They drive on, talking about the senseless act of littering done for no reason.....
Around the corner they see the police talking to a pair of teenagers on the footpath, don't think much of it until she returns 20 mins later.....
The police car is parked off to the side, flashers and headlights on.......
The cops are sitting on the bonnet, coffee in hand.....watching the same two teens walking down the road picking up all the rubbish and putting it back into the bins!
Now there's a bit of karma right there.... :nyaah:

  6. My power steering pump has died and subsequently drowned my alternator in oil.....short of stripping it apart, what is the best way of cleaning it?

It's still working fine but I'm not sure dropping it in a bath of degreaser is gonna do it much good. ....:/

  7. Rspec values seem to fluctuate at times.....
I bought mine in Oct 15' for 22500......and that was a manual, fact. s/roof, with 110000k's....
Guy originally had it advertised for 25000.....car was factory stock.....no mods.

  8. I feel for you mate......

Late last year I lost my beloved BF XR6T.....a car I'd had from new, heaps of mods and I didn't know what to do regarding a replacement....
My wife suggested ungrading to an FG......but I'd spent so much time and effort getting the BF to where I wanted it and I'd driven a couple of FG's and they just didn't feel as nice as my BF.....another factor was the XR6 had been hit very hard in the near side rear quarter so virtually everything I'd put into it was salvagable.....
After the crash I decided to buy the wreck back (Shannons only wanted 3500 bucks and the mods alone were worth 8000 or so it wasn't a hard decision)

The decision to get another BF was common sense to me......most of the stuff in it wouldn't fit an FG anyway and I liked the feel of my BF so off we went searching......I was lucky enough to pick up my Rspec (No.147) for a reasonable price and spent the next month or so transfering all the bits from one to the other ......so glad I did it now.....

Just have to work out how to post pics and I'll show you before and after shots....
