  1. For the last day's adventures, other than the "snow" stuff (I'll edit a clip together to show it all from my in-car footage and YLD127's front-facing camera footage). Just after we "escaped" from the what looked like blizzard conditions haha. Lined up for a shot or two. I was too nerve jangled to get a pic like Gary's earlier in this thread. We backtracked to Omeo and the headed home via Bairnsdale instead. We said goodbye to YLD127 and got a dry-aged T-Bone each from the specials board. Delicious for a steak but fairly low quality for a dry-aged steak (medium-rare for me, of course) Then it was 3 and a half hours back to my house and the "made it home" post above. Thanks to @EvilDaifu, @Rab, @YLD127 & @El Andrew for an epic cruise as always through the beautiful snowy mountains more media and stories to come, I'm sure.

  11. Thanks guys - was a great trip as expected! The road from Khancoban towards Cabramurra back through the national park was fantastic. 60km of 2nd and 3rd gear corners. Pretty boring once you are on the main Tumut to Cooma/Jindabyne road. Was too narrow to overtake without getting in the dirt so had to rely on people pulling over. One wouldn't, so I'd just pull over for a few minutes like this pic. The third time I caught them they finally got the message [emoji23]

  13. Hmmm yeah there is a long conversation there but this thread isn't really the place for it. 5 bar TMAP you say...if I'm paying for a TMAP I'm gonna use the whole TMAP

  14. put together this monster at work today 16 core 32 thread processor with 64 GB of RAM and the cheapest 3090 ti I could get my hands on (2k) its all previous gen stuf, ie: DDR4, Ryzen 5000 series and Nvidia 3000 series so saved a heap of cash right there its all a bit over kill for the 3D software aplication we have bought, but my boss loves the bling 🤣 running 2, 2K monitors and the 3090 smashes out over 200 fps at that resolution and hardly brakes into a sweat

  15. WMMFG.... I feel like I’ve come further in the last 18 months in my career than in the last ten years. I officially have not one, but our organisations two largest building projects to manage as well as the others I am running with.... but today I got some cool news... I have been asked to consult as a permanent panel member for a newly formed committee within the organisation which is now responsible for the long term strategy for community major infrastructure needs. A position which I was specifically requested to take on due to my expertise and to which I am the only one in the committee not in an executive or senior leadership position. It’s a pretty big deal for my type of role within my sector and an opportunity which isn’t often forwarded, so feeling very lucky but also proud I’ve been recognised as being valuable in that position. 🥰
