  1. Car is in for full send tune lads. Hopefully I've got some good news in a week or so. Only issue I had during run in period was some crank position sensor gremlins. I replaced the sensor with a new genuine one and it made no difference, so I'm hoping it's a Haltech settings thing

  2. >>> DON'T go to bunnings get 3 × 8mm d shackles $1.44 and 3 x 8mm x50mm long galv bolts .with the y type old school harmonic balancer tool youve already got (40$ at supers) , no! No! NO! <<< If the shackle bolt breaks... INSTEAD! Radiator removed and A/C condenser in situ. Buy a 100mm $16 + postage chinese puller The feet should be 20mm wide Cut the rounded feet off the legs Add a few old sockets to fit Put it in, then turn it Tap the balancer with a soft hammer while turning the breaker bar to remove. Tip: remove bellhousing inspection cover and place a socket (neodymium magnet helps) on the head of the torque converter bolt to stop crank moving. Remove old seal Place a new seal on the balancer, using the crankshaft bolt, tighten to refit the balancer. Careful with the puller legs, remove the balancer. Seal will be half in the timing cover. Drive seal home with pipe, socket, press tool etc Oil the seal lip (if you want to, add a spot of silicone to the crank key) and refit the balancer with some Loctite on the bolt thread, torque to 115Nm Happy endings

  3. Nice. Same way I did it many years ago rather then buying the correct overpriced tool.

  4. So bought the wife a new car this week, 2022 Jaguar F Pace SVR. 5 litres of supercharged goodness, thought it be a good idea to get one of these sorts of cars once more before there confined to the history books... I would of preferred a sedan but she wants an SUV so is what it is.......... so 9 month wait according to Jaguar COVID apparently...... one gripe with Jaguar is that everything on the car is an option so you basically have no choice but to get a car built... here's hoping the reliability goes ok.....
