Birthday present to myself. A new insurance policy with RAC, agreed value of $22k for $77/month (I bought the car for $21k). Policy can have an agreed value up to $24.8k too. Cheaper than my previous policy and a higher agreed value 🎉🎉 Also, I bought a roof lip spoiler, impulsive purchase 😂 Paint colour matched or gloss black.... decisions decisions 🤔

2 months later....bit the bullet and it's now running on E85. I should have done this from the get-go, the engine feels soooo much better. Boost is limited to around 17-18psi as to not max out the Walbro 460 in tank pump. Such fun rolling along in 3rd and blowing the tyres off at 80+km/h. No cold start issues either Car goes in next week for some maintenance and I'll get Rob to check my road tuning on the dyno. I've also had the Superpro bushes for the control blades and front upper control arms removed and fitted genuine rubber bushes when the revalved suspension came back. It's so much nicer to drive, much more complaint and no annoying suspension squeaks. It was Shockworks recommendation to revert back to the factory bushes as these work best to eliminate NVH. They'll probably need replacing every 30-40k but so be it.

If you don't want to get it, then don't get it. Your body, your life, you have every right to not get it. There's opinions from both sides that are totally wrong, and ones that are right. Sadly, there isn't a lot of medical studies on the vaccines yet. Downside of it being developed at an astoundingly quick rate. While it IS true people have died AFTER taking the vaccine. No study has concluded that it was the VACCINE itself that caused the death. No company has said that their vaccine is completely safe. No vaccine has ever been completely safe. Its impossible (with todays tech) to develop a vaccine that can cater for EVERY SINGLE PERSON in the world. We are all different and will also react differently to the vaccine. Anyway, this vaccine debate isn't worth getting into on a car forum I don't think 😋

So I tackled this once I picked up the Mrs from the station. Was a lot less hassle than I'd thought. Used a pick to get to the plastic clip holding the pin in place... Didn't end up unclipping it though, instead the the connector disintegrated! 🤣 that's one way of replacing the connector housing 🤷‍♂️ Replaced the other VCT connector seeing as I ordered two new ones. Surprise surprise it did the exact same thing 😜 At least I have new connectors now though! Good as new! Also finished re-installing the coil cover since fitting the new rocker cover. Didn't want to waste my time doing this until the connectors were fixed. Looking mint now 👌
