  1. So I may need to be moved to the 500 club Chucked a T40Z in, GFB fuel regulator, Second Pierburg pump with a 300lph intank pump. Have entered into race wars for 2019 so should be a lot of fun! Can't wait! Now sitting on adjustable pedders coil overs. I have had some HD axles go in and have a built tail shaft sitting there ready to go in so after race wars hoping to get down to the quarter mile to try and go for a mid 10. May have more in it but bit hard to tell considering I only get 1 pass then kicked out... Couple more photos

  3. Just got myself a Samsung Galaxy Watch for Xmas. https://www.samsung.com/au/wearables/galaxy-watch-r805/ Am going back on my diet and fitness kick after the new year so the "health/fitness counters" etc and reminders should help me stay motivated and consistent. Decent battery life (for a smartwatch - 4 days vs the 1-2 most others have) is what finally nudged me over the edge on getting one. I got the "cellular" version - will basically act as my phone (make calls, send/receive texts etc) for when I leave the phone at home, in the car etc. Tap and pay as well - can leave the phone and the wallet at home when I take the bike out. Can finally pretend to be Dick Tracy too

  4. Didn’t seem unbalanced at all, the motor is pretty well solid mounted with the engine mount style so it’s pretty easy to feel any vibration through the car. Think it’s just from years of dumping 4th and being so limiter happy the shock loading has started a fracture until it’s cracked through. It was doing near on 7000rpm at full track when it let go so I’m very suprised it didn’t go rods out and spray sh*t everywhere.

  5. Little update on this sh*t heap. Had the diff built now runs a 9 inch with 35 spline axles strange 3.250 case with motive 3.7 gears and a full spool so its bullet proof... Its had a busy last few months while I was waiting on the diff I pulled the motor for a while and welded all the holes in the engine bay smooth all the spot welds and removed anything I didnt require and got my spray painter mate to give me a hand and advice on my first go at painting. Also deleted the header tank made a top housing for the thermostat with a cap and welded over the now not required fittings on the radiator. Headgasket has been showing signs of leaking for a while now and the removal of the header tank brought it to the surface at powercruise. Over the whole weekend im pretty sure I put over 100litres of water through the motor. Still had a good weekend of beating up on it for 10-15 laps then come in and fill it with more water hahaha. After powercruise I put a fresh gasket in it ready for west coast nats and took it back for more punishment. After west coast I took it back to the track to go for a low 10 time slip now I have a diff that will hold up. Got 5 passes sorting out the closed loop boost control and tune before it broke and had a serious gearbox whine in the breaking area. Upon investigating I pulled the entire gearbox down to find no issues so went looking back to the flywheel while bolting the pressure plate on I noticed the flywheel rock on the back of the motor. So pretty sure I found the cause of the gearbox whine I pullled the motor friday night and this is what I found.... Motor was still running perfectly and didnt make any noises at idle or while running to indicate the break. Plan is to wash everything and put another crank in with the old bearings and see how much further it can go. Stock rods and pistons still hanging in there and loving life as allways.

  7. Ha ha ha so farrkn analytically El Andrew- expect nothin less Merry Christmas everyone I did most of my gift shopping through-out the year wherever I saw some bargains. Good thing as well as I've been traveling alot for work past several weeks (just got back from Mooloolaba yesterday). So had zero time to do any last minute shopping. Probably one of the best things recently is signed up for Amazon Prime and not only do I get access to a stack of vids through Amazon Prime Video (Grand Tour and Ken Block Gymkhana) but also stacks of free kindle books through Amazon Prime Reading all for $59 per year !!!

  8. Yeah, have seen that...and technically I could also just use the strap and sync it back to whatever other program I'm using to track stuff...but it's the added hassle that takes away from the seamless user experience it's supposed to be and kinda ruins it a bit for me. It'll work, just won't give very accurate data. I knew from wearing a chest strap playing squash for a while that I would easily burn 600-1000 calories each session and tested a chest mount and wrist mount in the same session and the wrist one reckoned only around 300 or so. The wrist ones aren't able to accurately capture the rapid rise and fall in your heart rate that you have when you're interval training, and that's why it doesn't record as many calories. Yeah. My family and friends are pretty low-key...a big Christmas for my family would be be mum making a roast on Christmas day, then would have a lunch with my dad on Boxing day. GF's family and friends do things VERY differently. Already had one family Christmas breakfast yesterday, got another tomorrow, then a dinner...then lunch with my folks boxing day, dinner with my old man and sister 27th (GF's friend also leaves on 27th...finally!), another of the GF's friend's turns up 28th to stay at my place for the weekend, wedding on Saturday...then it's nearly new years Yeah, I think that's why I've been struggling so much - I've had no routine and haven't been able to cope with so little structure. GF was really good and offered to take the dog for a walk/to the park by herself in the mornings (previously walked him together) to allow me to regularly go to the gym or go for a run or whatever exercise I want to do, so that was nice. I definitely need some form of routine. I've had to say I'm over going between two houses and living out of a bag - I've done it my whole life. Used to live a week at dad's then a week at mum's when my parents split at aged 9 right up until I was 17, so was changing house every week. Then as soon as I finished uni was into FIFO, so living out of a bag since. And now, for the first time in my life I'm actually city based and still haven't been able to come home to my own house every night or set my own routine as we've been going between both houses (we both own) and GF doesn't do routine so well. So I've pretty much had to say that's fine if she isn't ready to give up her house (it's the most financially and logistically logical of the two to rent out), but for the sake of my own health and our relationship I just can't do it anymore - I need some structure and routine back in my life.

  9. ROFL - just got this email "I do know your pass words. Lets get right to point. Nobody has compensated me to check about you. You don't know me and you are probably wondering why you're getting this e-mail? actually, i installed a software on the X vids (pornography) web-site and you know what, you visited this site to experience fun (you know what i mean). When you were watching videos, your internet browser initiated operating as a Remote Desktop with a keylogger which provided me with access to your screen and also cam. Just after that, my software obtained every one of your contacts from your Messenger, Facebook, and e-mailaccount. after that i created a double-screen video. First part shows the video you were viewing (you have a nice taste lol), and 2nd part displays the view of your web camera, and it is u. You have two choices. Lets look at the choices in particulars: Very first solution is to disregard this e-mail. Consequently, i most certainly will send your actual video to almost all of your personal contacts and consider regarding the shame you will see. Furthermore if you are in a romantic relationship, how it would affect? Number two choice is to pay me $966. Lets call it a donation. in such a case, i will straight away eliminate your video recording. You can carry on your daily routine like this never took place and you surely will never hear back again from me. You'll make the payment through Bitcoin (if you don't know this, search for 'how to buy bitcoin' in Google search engine). BTC address: 1GjB1zbt5coziENUHSoX1ugtJtE4ckWbtW [CaSe sensitive, copy and paste it] in case you are thinking of going to the law enforcement officials, okay, this e mail can not be traced back to me. I have covered my steps. i am not looking to ask you for money so much, i just want to be compensated. i've a special pixel within this mail, and at this moment i know that you have read this email. You have one day to pay. if i don't get the BitCoins, i will definately send your video to all of your contacts including members of your family, co-workers, etc. Nevertheless, if i receive the payment, i will erase the video immediately. it is a nonnegotiable offer, and so please do not waste my time & yours by responding to this mail. if you want evidence, reply with Yes! & i will send out your video recording to your 12 friends." Wonder how many people cough up and pay?

  10. I've been eyeing these off for a while, although I think I'd go the 42mm model (small wrists). But the thing that stops me is the inability to actually connect an external HRM - if I could do that then I'd be pretty keen. But if I were to be using it as a daily replacement to my standard watch AND fitness tracker then I want to be able to get accurate heart-rate data for the exercise I'd be doing, which the wrist based ones don't for sports like squash. Definitely need to get some order back into my life after Christmas - blown out food and weight wise over the last few months as things have just gotten busier and busier and I've been trying to do too much. Have started saying no to things this week as I've hit my limit and feel like I'm heading "down" and just can't even fathom being going to social events and having to pretend to be myself. So I've been upfront with my GF about it and what happened previously and she's actually been really good and asking how she can help. Been honest and said it's not something that can just change or quickly make me happy again, but that just being there and supporting is helpful, and help me get some routine back into my life and gain control over everything again.

  11. just take the heat shield off when you're "showing" the car, if that's your concern if you want to look at it when you're washing it or servicing it etc, that's up to you to remove the bolts and take it off haha

  12. After pulling the rest of the crank and cutting the filter I decided to pull the head and clean everything as I wasn’t happy with what I found. When I pulled the head I found that the pistons have touched the head probably from when the crank has let go at high rpm. Number 6 is the worst and has physically touched the others look to have just hit the carbon and left there mark. Can see the lathe marks from the piston in the head.

  13. Awesome, thanks! Yep, will have the coal baskets off to the sides so it isn't direct heat. Nice hot fire to get the crackling going. Score the skin, oil ,salt and off we go. Then bask in the kudos for doing not much really!

  17. At ~500rwkw my raw 2200 are within 5% and I haven't put any fuel trims on any cylinders yet all my plugs pull the same, burn patterns in every cylinder are all the same and pretty sure I can say from the way my car gets thrashed that the small difference isnt enough to cause any issues.. I mean my poor 23yr old cast pistons put up with it and at $450 for a set of 6 and over 2 years of use on e85 they still flowed the same on my test bench last month. I use injector dynamics data and my fuel model testing works perfectly on all fuels. I also use a motor worth $50 so if/when it lets go its not much of a concern.

  18. Plan is you hold the +/- buttons whilst the engine isn't running for a second and it will cycle through using the maps using instantaneous L/hr to tell you which map is active. Eg 1L/hr, 2L/hr etc. If the engine is running it will just use cruise control as usual. Similar to how the aftermarket GTR tunes work.
