  1. I'm going to have a fun night! Time to start my electrical work. Probably won't drop it all in until warranty is over in a few weeks. Plan is to have a single Deutch connector at the firewall which handles everything. Am wiring oil pressure gauge, boost gauge, wideband, extra USB power for dashcam, thermo switch and fan for trans cooler (plus a light in the cabin to indicate fan status).

  2. Managed to service the prado and made a spacer for the rear wheel carrier. (New slightly bigger tyres 265/70/17 Mickey Thompson atz p3). Also installed the steering wheel this arvo to the turbo but had to put the tools away early for the front springs because I’ve been called in to work tonight and need to get a little rest before the 12 hour night. All went smoothly. Just had one moment of panic once I finished. And that was a fear of installing upside down. The perforated leather around the top spun me out as I’m used to what my GT-P has (perforated sides grips only). Anyways some pics to show what I mean: Turbos steering wheel (yeah I know the floor needs a good cleaning) Ba mk2 GT-P steering wheel:

  5. mal wood do a metal replacement The crappy plastic one is no good. Also, while you're at it, get a remote bleeder line as it'll make maintaining your clutch fluid much easier

  8. Hey guys, it's been a while but that's because poor pep has just been sitting in the driveway, I've been flat out working on other people's cars It's not all that bad as I get to spend other people's money haha, I've been working on all sorts of projects from full engine builds, full ZF builds (standard to big boy), fuel system mods and upgrades and a hell of a lot of tuning, hopefully have some big hitters at the track shortly I did end up installing the Johnny Tig cooler on and it made 475-482kw with consistent back to back dyno pulls for over an hour, averaging 45* temps... compared to the previous 450ish with the only change being the cooler... same dyno, same load, same tyres, and virtually the same tune Size comparison, JT is taller and thicker, I asked for the same width so I didn't have to move or modify the A/C lines PW2 JT you can see the difference in density of the core, obviously less density allows a higher volume of air to pass, but needs a larger charge air area to cool, and a higher density core like the PW will cool more charge air but will generally limit the volume of air that passes through it. So your cooler needs to be suited to your setup easy figment, just had to grind the rear lip off the crush bar, as with any other 100mm cooler, and drilled and tapped the bottom two holes rather then using a nut and bolt The weighed PW2 11.6Kg And JT 9.1kg Would people be interested in me making a tuning thread similar to Jets, just to show what I've been working on?
