  1. Made a little more progress on the weekend. Was hoping to swap valve spring out. For the past few weeks I've been meaning to buy new valve stem seals. Thought I may as well change them when doing springs. Left till last minute again. Headed off to get them and a fitting for my compression tester. Long story short auto parts shop didn't have them. More phone calls and Ford have to get them from the east. Weren't as bad priced as I thought, but have found them cheaper at Intune Motorsport so ordering them. So apart from finishing the valve spring tool I've made a rig to put the compressed air into the cylinder via spark plug hole. Will remove the pressure guage off my compression tester Remove the valve core from the one way valve And bought an adapter so I can hook up my air line fitting The spring tool Reason for the nuts in stead of a threaded hole. It was a lot easier and more accurate than trying to drill and tap a hole on an angle, and need a milling machine for the hole. Pretty happy with how it turned out. Compresses the springs no problem. Bit of overkill for what it's doing, but I like making things, keeps me out of trouble! Will put it to work on the weekend and change out the valve springs.

  3. Work paid me a bonus this year, so rather than waste it I've decided (given it's extra cash) to use it to bolt a whole bunch of solar panels to the roof of my house. Paid the deposit today and should, all things going to plan, be installed before I start my new job. Went with: 22x Optimised Canadian Solar split cell PERC 300W panels SolarEdge HD Wave 5kW inverter SolarEdge Energy Meter

  10. they're all good enough for whatever you want to do. The cheapest is to just cut a hole in the front of the airbox

  12. Yep didn't see that. That company normally doesnt sell the crimped ones. Dont buy crimped. Call them and get them to make you one up. The last one I got from them was all black with black heat sleeve. Posted the wrong link. That link is engine parts Australia. You want GJ drivelines. https://www.gjdrivelines.com.au

  13. Yep there's bound to be a few ppl with the same builds! Lucky for us most of the upgrades/combos are already tried and tested, and the info readily available on the forums. I bought my car as it was with all the mods in the first post. I think the previous owner bought that housing, not sure where from, already modded as I have the original exhaust housing here.

  14. I had an old 84 4runner about 11 or 12 years ago. Was my second 4wd. Solid axel front, had a Expensive Daewoo 253, plenty of power, sounded great with 2.5" exhaust. I completely rebuilt both diffs/axels with auto lockers. 33" tyres and small lift. It loved the fuel, and always ran hot, but it went anywhere and was heaps of fun! Yeah I love the tig. Bought myself a Unimig razor 200 ac/dc a couple of years ago. Good little welder. Aluminium is definitely harder to pick up than SS or mild steel I think. Cooler piping I think I'm going with ali, just because bends and tube are easier to get in thin wall 2.5 to 3". Also my bead roller probably won't do 1.6mm wall SS.

  16. With the introduction of pcmtec, a lot of the falcon specific advice about cams is outdated, as there is a greater level of cam control available now. @Peppy_t92 is probably one of the best people to comment further, as he is one of the handful of people with real world experience with it.
