  1. So the takeover wasn't a bad process like I first thought. We all kept our jobs - promotions to better roles, all got decent pay rises, new company mobile/fueld card and company car by next review if im worth keeping around. Things are coming up Millhouse.

  4. Yes. The standard fuel lines flow over 1000lph , The 1000hp system flows 600lph. Standard fuel lines and fuel rails are perfect even on the 1500hp system

  9. Thank you I'll definitely look into Shockworks coilovers!

  10. Whs^! How quick was/is your skyline. I would imagine it outhandles it's power? As in, goes ok, could do with more power, steers and sits really well. Stepping into the xr6t, you might feel it's the opposite. As in, surely this taxi could steer better and sit flatter and goes pretty hard from the factory. 80-130k, definitely would need a freshen up underneath, unless it's been done recently. 11. $2k will get you a set of Shockworks coilovers. You'll need to factor in fitting and a wheel alignment too though...but totally worth it. Car will no longer have the boaty handling, will give you better steering feedback and you'll have improved grip and road handling, especially through corners. It'll also be adjustable, so you can adjust the dampener settings if you end up taking the car on the track. I had both Tein and Shockworks coilover setups on my FG's and would choose the Shockworks hands down for a street car. You won't regret it, trust me.

  13. Hi guys, I need to change the booster in my BF F6. It has the brembo front/pbr rear combination. It is built in 01/2006 and has the booster part number 3R23xxxxxxxxxxx and the spare one I have sitting here has a 5R29xxxxxxxxxx part number. I believe this is because new the booster I have is from a later model BF Mk 2 XR6 Turbo. The difference I can see is that the existing booster has B259-058 and the new one has B259-060. Is there any difference in the boosters and will it be ok to use on my F6? Thanks, George

  15. Hey guys, Wow, I havent been on this forum since the first couple of years the XR6T was available! I have been through a number of XR6T's (240 and 270kw) and VE/VF SS's. Not long ago I just picked up one of the new XR8s. Holy cow, it is one hell of a car! The sound - I am amazed its legal. Sounds like s v8 supercar once those bimodal exhaust valves open. (Draws waaaaay too much attention though!) The braking is great,. The handling is super flat - I am amazed at the handling. I thought it might be more of a straight line beast - instead I got the best handling car I have owned. Its on rails. And the engine is just unreal. Very responsive. Huge power everywhere, especially in 2nd gear and above when the 335kW limit is replaced with 375kw (if its not >30 deg). The power is very linear, and despite the extra power I find it a lot more predictable and easier to drive (including in the wet) than the 270kw XR6T was. So my question is this - is an FGX XR8 forum going to be added to this board??!

  16. OP just buy the car and enjoy it, save money, find tuner (even consider interstate if you have to, others on here have gone to Pitlane or CMS etc) don't get ahead of yourself. How many km on the car you are looking at? I'd still suggest suspension first... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  22. So.. went golfing this afternoon. Probably my first really serious game since April this year. Got the all clear from the doctor yesterday allowing me to exercise properly again (provided I listen to my body and stop when I have had enough). New course I'd never played on. Only managed to par on 2 holes (both par 3). However I did manage a birdie on a par 5. The rest were bogey and double bogey on account of a few chances taken playing through and over trees that didn't really pay off. It was great to get out and play properly again though.

  24. The fuel system we supply are guaranteed NO surge for all models BA-FGX. It is not only the upgraded pump and cradle that ensures this , but the system operating a s a whole. eg Larger pump flows 400lph therefore to ensure correct return flow and pressure you need a higher flowing pressure regulator to match. eg 400lph return flow reg. Larger pump draws more current, therefore you need heavier wiring to ensure correct voltage supply for proper operation. If all the items are not matched , you will have a system that may flow more, however with high pressures and poor return flow therefore increasing the current required on standard wiring. This is what causes surge! The misconception of an intank system causing surge is absolute rubbish, due to the many being improperly set up . Al our systems are rated at the power delivery they can support. eg 700hp 1000hp 1500hp They are then engineered as a kit to ensure correct delivery with correct associated components. This ensure hassle free fitment, correct cool dense fuel delivery at correct pressures for maximum performance. Happy to chat if you have any further questions. 08 82999 998 David

  29. Biketz is right. Save the folding stuff for the next car, but learn lots on this one. I always say to p platers "you can have sex in a car with a woman, but you can have sex in a house with multiple women at the same time". Save the money, buy the house (Btw welcome and thanks for showing us the ride) However all that said, your money, so if you want to go to town on it, go for gold mate

  30. Dont waste your coin budy. Save it for your next ride after p's. Wheels, lower, cat back for noise and that would be it. Next door neighbor did lots of non power making mods to his car. Xr seats, body kit, xr8 bonnet, lights , interior, stereo, fpv wheels (genuine ) breaks ect ect. Wasted over 12k and in the end got his full licence and bought a turbo. Its your car and your money. You can always throw a supercharger on it later.

  31. Some Tuners don't really want to know you if your not spending $15-$25 large, and you don't want over 400rwkw. Under 400rwkw isn't good for there Face Book pages! My Opinion.

  32. Stalling FGs after tuning is not uncommon, I have been led to believe it happens in around 10% of them. It's an easy fix, just needs something changed in the idle. First thing is always talk to your tuner.
    1 point
  33. This tuners tune is of NO value to a subsequent tuner. With SCT a new tuner has to start from scratch anyway and I would as most tuners prefer to start from a virgin tune. Especially considering this particular tune has an issue and has had its tables raped. Who knows what he has done. Are they ID1000 injectors or 1000cc injectors bought off ebay. A new tuner is faced with questions like this and it can sometimes just end up being a big headphuck for the people who have to fix up these sorts of jobs. You deserve a full refund. Be nice but firm.

  34. I've been thru this. I bought an FG that had a stalling problem (me being the third owner). The second owner of the vehicle spent $15000 on mods at a top Perth Tuning place to be left with an FG that stalled. That is the reason why he got rid of it. The tuner had a few goes in trying to fix. I saw that he played with some dashpot parameters in the tune to try to fix it but he was way off the problem. When I bought the car I rang the "top perth tuner" to try and sort the matter out. He said he thought he fixed it. He also lied to me and said the car was stalling before it was bought to him. Complete BS. He was of no help, I just saw he wanted to try to get money out of me instead of jointly trying to solve the problem. Anyway at the time I gave the tuner the benefit of the doubt cause he was " a top perth tuner" and I didn't think the tuner was the cause of the problem. I didn't want to blame someone for something that I wasn't sure of. I tracked down the service history of the vehicle and there was never an issue with stalling prior to the modifications, the first owner of the vehicle confirmed this. Nevertheless I had a tuning background, learnt HP Tuners and it was pretty clear once it was solved that it was ALL caused by what the tuner did. As I said before, your original tuner may NUT it out. But if he does not, do not be afraid to politely say that thankyou for your work, however the vehicle does stall after you tuned it. You have had a couple of goes at it with no success. Now give me a refund for the tuning work and I will let someone else have a go. The tuner may be a great guy. You did not pay for a car that stalls

  35. The Lux Pack has : 1. Leather Seats 2. "Premium" Sound System with Subwoofer in Parcel Shelf 3. Leather Seats and Trim 4. Dual Zone Climate Control 5. Dark Carbon Fibre Style Dash Trims 6. Gun Metal background on ICC with Silver buttons 7. Upgrade to Colour Screen where originally was Black/White screen 8. Larger Rims 9. Silver Coloured Steering Wheel Buttons Reverse Sensors are not a part of the Lux Pack. Tech Pack is Separate and Includes Bluetooth and Ipod Connection. I cannot tell the difference between my Lux Pack Steering wheel and Regular Steering wheels. The good thing about the Lux Pack and Tech Pack, is you can have a XR6 Turbo with nearly all the G6E Turbo Features, without having to spend much more to buy a G6E Turbo which is a downgrade car if your after performance.
