  4. That reminds me, I should go for a hit at the driving range soon. I actually was dreading going to a friends (who's also and ex and then more recently a friend with benefits) birthday drinks at the pub yesterday as she was going to be the only one I knew there. The medication I've been on for a few weeks now has definitely helped get me in a more positive head-space so I actually left the house and went out in public with other people. I'd never met her current boyfriend (hence another reason I was a bit iffy about the whole thing) or any of her current friends really but actually turned out to have a really good arvo/evening/night. Her boyfriend is a champ and her friends I was sat with at my end of the table were really nice and we all got along really well. One of the couples I was sitting with invited me back to their place afterwards for more drinks and cards and stuff (to which I suggested I stop home and pick up Cards Against Humanity, as none of them had ever played it). Ended up playing a rowdy game of CAH and then moved onto Monopoly and I ended up not getting home until 1:30am and had a great time. So I'll chalk that up to a win!

  5. Go a phone call from the boss last night.. Local business ambrose comp today.. I put my name down but was too late (first in first served) for our companies team.. 2 of the 4 blokes pulled out leaving my boss and one other.. Boss decided that he wanted to enter the two man ambrose comp instead as that's what most of the other local engineering companies were entering.. Apparently his competitive drive is not limited to the business world.. So I copped a bit of jeering on the first tee with a horrible shot off the tee.. Thank god it was ambrose.. Together we only managed a 7 on the first hole.. Second hole we found our form and nailed 3 on a par 4.. After that my boss kept his power game and I dominated the short game.. Shot of the day was a 100m pitching wedge in to score 2 on a par 5 after the boss man did nearly a 370m drive from the tee.. (pure skills there.. No flukey sh*t).. After 18 holes we walked away 14 below par.. Don't know if we won yet as we were one of the first groups off and it wasn't shotgun.. One of the groups behind us scored a hole in one on a par 3 also.. So it was a good competition.. If we win we don't get anything except for a trophy.. But $2000 bucks goes to the charity we nominated.. Then I stopped in to rebel sport and price matched a vivosmart and heart rate monitor.. So I'm feeling good about getting active again.. Especially since my Fitbit thinks I only did 6000 steps on an 18 hole round of golf..

  7. we can only make suggestions. The choice is yours and only yours. I took the path of replacing it with an earls aftermarket filter. Some people have taken theirs out after 10000km. I rather have a $150-$200 aftermarket filter put in rather than spending $1000-$2000 on a new turbo.

  19. You'll be able to get some decent money for your manual setup which will help cover cost. Personally id go between t400 or glide. Give some places a call and have a chat. Allow around the 10k mark for the conversion depending which way you go.

  20. not trying to hi jack this thread but I was going to post a similar one today anyways .. I have 6sp manual BF MkII F6 with 383rwkw & it looks like the slave cylinder is cactus .. only just put a Mal Wood Opt 6 clutch in 2000kms ago & that was the 2nd time Ive replaced in the clutch the car too .. so im a bit over the mainual thing at the moment looking at options & $$ to convert to an auto box that will handle that power & maybe a lil more .. low 400kws .. will give good street & strip performance but mostly be reliable .. my box only has 50,000kms on it & as I said the clutch is basically brand new & when its removed I'll replace the cylinder so I can sell the box .. have heard C4, powerglide or a Turbo 400 are the way to go .. just want to compare costs & performance of the three .. car does not spend much time on the street, its not my daily .. cheers in advance

  21. mention reform you die politically. The whole joint is screwed and don't touch our handouts. Spend at will. If the economy was your business what would you do

  22. Panda for PM Couldn't agree more. It scares me to think that the media and the gullible are just focused on the fluffy insignificant crap, not the things that really matter like proper reform. Our preferred PM was on TV this morning talking about all the fings that he finks the govt is doing wrong. When asked for his alternatives he had absolutely NFI. "umm our policies will be released in due course" At least when Abbott was opposition leader his budget reply speeches etc. offered proper alternatives. Now there's nothing being offered or suggested, just the mud flinging that everyone seems to enjoy. You just have to look at what Greece has just done to see where we are heading. That's truly fckn frightening.

  26. I'm pissed off that politics has lost its passion.. People no longer enter into constructive debate about politics instead 'you don't agree with me I'll f*cking kill you'.. Today I walked in to vote and was challenged as always by the people wanting you to vote their way.. I stopped and asked the labor group 'what is your party going to do for qld' in response I was told 'Stop the sale of assets!!' So in my typical form I said 'that doesn't bother me at all.. What else are they going to do for qld?'.. They couldn't give me an answer.. Yes I'm an LNP person through and through (before anyone gets upset by that I want you to realise I did lose a very cosy and lucrative government contract when they cut the public sector).. Qld just went to an election in which no leader truly inspired anyone.. Instead of telling us what they could do, they instead told us everything the other side couldn't.. 4 years of government is not enough time to solve problems.. All the solutions whether through asset sales or not are talking real results in the future.. Every time we change parties we undo almost everything that party was working towards.. 17,000 or so jobs were cut from the qld public sector.. Major changes that came out of that I saw were that administration staff were actually given deadlines and made to do work (shock f*cking horror!).. We still have a very effective and able public service which I honestly believe can still be cut in certain sectors.. QLD has voted.. Give it a month and they'll be asking 'why hasn't my power bill gone down yet' or 'why hasn't unemployment decreased' because the mob vote is full of idiots who don't know what's going on beyond the sensationalised and misreported stories in news that isn't worth the paper it's printed on.. Today we saw police called to voting booths for various reasons.. Including one standing MP's wife allegedly assaulting another parties candidate.. I really don't care who takes power.. I am lucky enough to be in a job where if the in power government stops spending people start screaming and I get paid.. Politics needs to be about passion and vision.. Not just from our representatives but also from the voters.. Unfortunately no matter the party most of our representatives are self-invested in their motives for politics.. I think our state and our country is screwed until politics becomes more about vision and less about surviving the next election.. /rant

  28. Social media. It appears that Facebook has gone from a great virtual social area. To a tirade of bigoted, racist, inflammatory f*ckwits. By all means offer an opinion, seek out discussion, play devils advocate. But for f*cks sake witty sound bites with no substance and threats of violence and name calling are not logical well constructed arguments.

  29. Lol. That means you have not done anything. It is normally at the bottom left side of the block, closer to the front passenger foot well. Have a read of this. This shows how to install an aftermarket oil filter, but it also helps to remove the filter. Read the very first post. http://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/topic/32461-turbo-oil-supply-screen-cleaning/

  32. New rear tyres to get rid of the tiny looking 35 profile. Now a 235/40/19 on a 9.5-6 so slight stretch and fills the guard a lot better installed king springs in the rear to get rid of jacked look Gave it a wash Wheels look a lot less silly with the guard gap brought down a lot and the bugger profile Now just coilovers in the front to drop it a cm or 2 next weekend and its finally nearly how I had in mind for it to look

  36. 9. Swirl pot modification.......When I spoke to Joe about booking in the ute for a tune, we were discussing my mods and he mentioned I may be running too high a fuel pressure with the surge & 044 setup. I put a gauge on the car and sure enough he was right. So to fix this there is a small orifice in the swirl pot that the return fuel exits. This can be drilled out to help return flow and get the pressure back down. I went in from the top as to pull the tank out the bottom is a royal PITA on these utes, specially without a hoist.Hard lid off & tub liner outDrill out spot welds on left side of front panel to access fuel sender Fuel sender out Underside Removed this black piece The 2.6mm hole is the restriction Drilled out to 4mm All back together, checked pressure again at idle and its spot on now at 4 bar.
