  11. Ecu I believe. Can be done but linking ecu to control the cams is the issue. So im lead to believe. They do a thing called Ghost cams in the US.

  13. In all honest tuner shouldn't let the car out of the workshop without cold starting it the next day just to make sure it's running right. I had to go back to my tuner 4 times to fix my tune and yea that's good of them to fix it, but next time I'll be travelling a few hours for a tune and not gonna make the trip a couple of times just because the tuner got lazy that day...

  16. Congrats Team Volvo with Scotty winning race 4 today at the Aussie F1 Grand Prix. With double points on offer for race 4, the win also gave the team the round win....Well Done everyone Unluckey to 34 for getting damaged on lap 9. Now -- where do I vote to have my say about this race being part of the V8 Super Car comp and normal points being awarded towards the championship?? and I found out what the hell this "jandal" thing is........it's kiwi for 'Thongs' (the sort that go on ya feet...)

  20. The actors played two detectives in 1995, as they investigate a string of murders, and in the modern-day, as they’re interviewed about a similar crime. The role requires each to play their characters about 17 years apart. How did they switch from playing young men to middle-aged ones? HARRELSON: I just took off my wig. McCONAUGHEY: I just put on my wig. Jokes aside it is the best transition of acting I have ever seen, the metamorphosis from one era to the next was nothing short of outstanding. Glad and sorry its finished.

  23. do what ever you need to do to get over your current problem, if that means putting the car to the side, do it, if it means late nights in the garage to keep your mind busy then do that, but I'm sure your partner needs your support at this time so make that a priority

  24. Alright alright... My aim for yesterday was to try slow shutter speeds to get some nice panning shots. F1 cars and 1/50th second shutter speeds make for a frustrating time! You'll have to excuse the fences...

  28. How do you snap a billet shaft

  29. Pull off the inner liner of the drivers side front wheel, in the top corner under the windscreen is a grommet with comes out at the top of the drivers side kick panel. you can get you cable to this area as there is a opening near the battery - just below the earth point. Cable tie your power wire to the loom already in place and make sure to seal up the hole in the grommet with silicone.

  32. Haha I like your wicked thoughts. Id like to go highmount but if I do that may as well go t4 flange and bigger turbo. Open slather it will be now I dont have to drive it to work everyday.

  34. Blacktur8ute what power did your car make stock on that dyno? The little turbo will struggle up top which will result in less boost higher in the rev range. Certainly an actuator will help. If the car isn't idling properly with ID1000's then the tune needs adjusting. It should idle perfectly cold or hot. What city are you located in? A bigger turbo would be nice. Certainly fill that drop off in the later part of your graph. Benny.

  36. Polka's are awesome for the money. I got these in my FG http://www.polkaudio.com.au/products/speakers/db6501-6.5-2-way-component-system, I wanted to get their MM flagship series speakers but they wouldn't fit (size of the magnet is bigger and in FG there is fck all space between door and the door trim so kind of dissapointed on that end ), sound is just unreal and too bad I couldnt fit MM series. I have got 2 pairs fitted of these with an 8 inch sub also polka that fits into rear centre shelf. Also I got hertz amp 1500w and audio bit10 digital sound processor hooked up to head unit in the car(I still use head unit and bit10 uses signal from head unit so it all looks 100% stock) and prior to this I have fitted dvd and linked it to the head unit although dvd is asl cheap crap and only bought it as part of the kit later I'm gonna put better dvd (waiting for release of dvd's with MHL plugs so I can hook up my note 2 directly to it)

  40. Ok so I just decided to buy a new filter assy, $70ish from those rip off merchants called Fraud. Now ive spent about 12 years of my life working on different cars so im quite comfortable under the bonnet. But I must say that this job was an utter pain in the ASS!!! I found that removing the oil filter and airbox gave me a reasonable amount of room. The oil pressure sensor is not a 22mm as stated in the 'How To'. It must be imperial, but a deep 21mm socket is a good enough fit to get it off. My main issue is I have an aftermarket oil pressure gauge fitted, so the electric oil pressure sensor is in the way kind of. But its a nightmare gettting a 24mm spanner in there to hold the filter assy to stop it spinning when undoing everything... My 24mm spanner is pretty long. A stumpy one would make it easier. Next issue once it was all going together was getting the round oil line fitting back onto the filter......This nearly tipped me over the edge!!! That fitting needs to fit onto the screen perfectly square otherwise it just wont go. I ended up having to ever so slightly bend the oil line to allow the fitting to go on square.... Then its back to the issue of getting a spanner in the there to hold everything to prevent it spinning and kinking the oil line.... Im going to take my old filter assy to work, stick it under the microscope and have a closer look. Ill put it in the ultrasonic cleaner and keep it as a spare. I wouldnt suggest undertaking this job if your either a: not mechanically minded b: have a short temper c: have ADHD d: or hate working on cars
