Drain the coolant and run a water with three scoops of clothes washing powder. We use it on site to clean out radiators and cooling systems. The caustic in the washing powder works a treat in breaking down scum and oil from the cooling system. Then flush it all out after cruising for a couple of hours. Don't rev if hard coz the water pump will froff the water and cavitate the water pump. Also ensure you are not running to much antifreeze. Use the minimum amount of antifreeze as you can as straight water will always cool better then a coolant mixture. Also check ya head gasket with a coolant tester and ensure your thermo fans are sucking into the engine and not blowing out of the engine bay. Are you using stock thermos? Or aftermarket fans? Are you getting 12.7-13v at the fan motors? ( check this by back probing the wires in the plug as you want load on the circut from the motors while you test this. You can also check to make sure all your coolers are horizontal to the ground. Any angle ether side of horizontal with cause more restriction to air flow as the air will have to change direction as it flows through the coolers.1 point

Bring on nuclear power. Get past the hysteria and it makes sense. Thailand's wages are apparently comparatively the same - in terms of average wage and cost of living etc. so it's all relative. But their productivity is ten times ours...we breed slack lazy fckers whose main goal is to milk the system whilst doing the least amount of work possible. I.e. courtesy of the Fin Review... Some of these aren't too extreme, but keep in mind this is whilst getting almost double the award wage to begin with. That sh*t doesn't happen in the real world. And this is just some of the terms they want to change, there'd be probably three times that list of stupid erroneous crap that the unions have loaded up in the EBAs that are crippling these companies. Take a typical office worker on salary for example, they get a decent pay but that's it. There's no extra time off for union jaunts, or paid time to wash your hands at the end of the day, or paid overtime, or penalties for not having lunch. And FMD if you have a sicky you even have to prove it's legitimate! Unbelievable isn't it.1 point

They're PBR-M rotors, They've gone through 4 sets of pads, about 20+ sprint days and about 20 hillclimbs.1 point

Posted pics of engine bay with headed tank, power steering unit and ECU cover plastidiped on 'What you did to car today'. I was asked to update how it holds up. A week of hot days and hard driving and it's holding up very well in deed. No signs of being affected by heat.1 point

have you tried ducting better, like so the air that has the opportunity to go in that area is forced through rather than blowing out the sides? you would be surprised the difference this can make1 point

I think people get too caught up on "lag". I swear I can barely tell the difference in spool between the small turbo on 98 and the gtx now on e70. Spools up nice and quick for me! IMO lag is only something everyone is worried about before they put in on, buy in reality when you drive it you barely notice any lag at all. In saying that, the precision sounds like a top choice too! Didn't know about that one when I did mine. Absolutely stoked with the GTX though so no complaints here!1 point

Most people are set in their ways and no matter what I say, they will never change their mind, and im ok with that, im just glad a discussion is happening I say nuclear you think fukishima, three mile island and chenobyl etc while all of these was/are terrible tragedies and is a totally understandable association that's not what im talking about when I say nuclear When I say nuclear I mean Generation 4+ reactors with waste from enriched uranium lasting a couple centuries rather than millenia. But where I really think the future lies over the next decade is the development of thorium based reactors where the thorium reactor does not require the vessel to be pressurized and because it operates at a very low pressure there is near to zero chance of a fukishima style meltdown occur (fukishimas reactors melted down and what caused the problems was that it got so hot in the reactor cores that highly pressurised water molecule began to split into h2 and 02 and anyone familiar with the hindenburg or fukishima knows what happens next). Because thorium in its raw earth form or even outside of the reactor is inhert its as safe to hold as your remote or a bar of soap. its 4 times more abundant in the earth as uranium and the real winner for me is an incredible statistic comparing coal/uranium and thorium. 1 tonne of thorium generates as much power as 200 tonnes of uranium but that is nothing to the amount of coal. approx. 3500000 tonnes of coal it would take to make the equivalent amount of power 1 tonne of thorium could produce. Compared with coal 100000 miners have been killed in the usa in last century alone. as practices have been getting safer its gone down to approx. 30 miners per year. however the WHO has estimated coal air pollution is accountable for 1 million deaths worldwide annually. not to forget the amount of asthma related issues as well Coal as a fuel is dirty not only producing co2 but also produces high amount of sulfur dioxide, nitric oxides, hydrogen cyanide and sulfur nitrate just to name a few not only that but coal also contains trace amount of heavy metals such as mercury, molybdenum and chromium just to name a few. while this is only in trace amounts its still put into the environment. Australia is in the middle of its continental plate so minimal risk of volcanoes and earthquakes, also we are in a relatively safe country with a stable government and somewhat happy citizens. If something isn't done about our looming energy crisis we are well and truly screwing over our future generations and the only way I see this happening is if we put an end to coal power plants and develop a safer and cleaner alternative that can provide baseload power. The only 2 ways I see this happening is via nuclear fission (nuclear) or fusion (hydrogen atoms fusing together ie the suns way of generating energy) I dont think I can change your mind dags and I dont think youlll change my mind either and that's ok but like I said as long as the discussion is happening im happy If anyone has actually read my boring novel im sorry but im just passionate about energy, technology and facts1 point

Congrats masda you must be happy with the result. How can they get so much more power with only 1psi more boost than stock? Or is that up top when the little turbo is falling away?1 point

+1 for the evolved coatings "liquid wrap". Just purchased the wheel gloss kit and an extra 4L can today. Going to dip my whole car. Will post pics when it's done. Seems like the best deal I could find so far, the prices we pay here compared to The Seppos is ridiculous. I thought our dollar was strong? They pay $6 a can over there! Saw the "plastidip" cans for $30 at autobarn today, talk about extortion1 point
