  9. Once it's done just get it dynoed with the mods as planned, let it cool to same temp and stick something in the cutout section to block it again and remeasure, just out of curiosity! Easy way to compare the effect of the changes (after front bar mod anyway).

  11. I just purchased two months ago. I got a great price, but was prepared to compromise. In the end I got exactly what I wanted. I didnt visit any dealers in person, contacted 10 or so Ford Sales Managers (I talked to the fleet person in particular) in Melb Metro area on the phone, and asked for written quotes - all of em pretty much provided written quotes by the end of the day! They are pretty desperate at the moment - people seem to be flocking to the Expensive Daewoo dealer showrooms with recent VF release..... Told em the truth that I was a cash (fleet) buyer within the week - ready to sign, knew what I was after - I was after a stock turbo with auto and premium paint, and that price on road was my sole decision....dont want any aceesories, as it just raises the sticker price and therefore my FBT year on year (I novate).... What did I learn......if I want a particular colour, trim, accessory - you have to order, wait for next build run and pay hefty sticker price..... However - if your prepared to take a car they have in stock (undriven, unregistered but in stock) - they will do you an awesome deal. So - in the end - one dealer offered me a standard auto xr6 turbo, no options in blue for $38.5k on road. And gave me the written quote. I then went to the dealer who happened to have my preffered Mars Red car in stock, showed him the quote and asked him to match it.....he complained his Mars Red car had tint, leather, reverse camera and alloy spare, and that he'd have to add these to my quote.....so I started walking away. In the end - he relented to get the sale - and I now have a Mars Red turbo which is what I wanted, plus a whole bunch of extras at a pretty sharp price. So yes - haggle haggle haggle - but in all honesty, I was prepared to take most colours, as I really was a tight arse..... I just wanted a turbo XR6 - everything else was optional.

  12. All the trouble and cost of extra plates and certificates, you should have just gone with a bigger cooler and been done with it.

  13. ROTFLOL that is right, he doesn't have paint on it yet. still on primer. forgot that small detail. Well maybe we should have a cruise for a cause. Raise enough cash to get Steve a paint job done, finally after 5 years???

  14. I've really noticed that everyone at my work seems to be in a giant 4wd but dont ever actually use it to go off road.. its a shame that they are going, its more of a shame that the falcon will also be going. heres hoping ford and Expensive Daewoo give their final models one real last hoorah for the fans. GO THE MIGHTY T6

  18. Bf xr6t 130xxxkm on it running 320rwkw for 5 years (60xxxkm). Oil flushed with transmax z at 90xxxkm, still stock heat exchanger I think. Coped a fair hiding when I owned it, and still gets a decent workout from new owner, to my knowledge all is going well. Fg xr6t 60xxxkm on it running 400rwkw with daves zf tune for 2 1/2 years (20xxxkm). Oil flushed with lifeguard and external cooler added at 45xxxkm, did a few 1/4 passes and has done a few track days and a powerplay, all is going well with new owner.
