  2. So it's been awhile but I went to the drags on Wednesday and smashed my PB 11.46 and a 1.6 60ft! I do recon I could get a 11.3 maybe a 11.2 if it was cold enough. My first run was a 1.81 60ft and 121 mph but a 11.58 then I just had continues runs. My 60ft was always about 1.6-1.7 for the rest of the night but 11.5's my 11.4 came after resting the car for about 40 minutes. Heat soak sucks :( I do have a nizpro cooler sitting in my spare room though So always keen to keep trying :D

  9. I am looking to update the compressors on 3 turbos so decided to look into this. There are two main manufactures that seem to do alot of these wheels. KTS (Kawasaki) located in Malaysia and Kinugawa located in Taiwan. Although Kinugawa have a big ebay presence, they are related to KAMAK which apparently manufactures a OEM turbo and have OK review. Heard nothing much bad about the KTS either. I would steer away from Chinese stuff though. In the case of the TO4Z turbos I have I may go with a billet from one of the above. Probably around $300 landed in Aust each wheel. With my GT35 I would be better off just getting a wheel and housing for a GTX at around $500. I was thinking of putting a GTX3582 wheel into my GT compressor housing but it wont fit. They come matched as a pair. The Garret GTX wheel is billet and can get for under $200. There are also billet wheels made from the above two companies that fit directly into the 0.5 housing. Although of similar looking design to the GTX, since there are no flow charts I think too much pissing in the dark to get one of these. So I wouldn't really knock these wheels even if they come from ebay. I think the two companies mentioned are of a pretty high standard now.

  10. Why the change to CP pistons? Are they a better design compared to the Atomic Cosworth pistons for your application?

  23. We had a little accident that caused it too drop a couple of valves, nothing major. We weren't far off removing the head anyway to do the same work that we've just done to it. While the head was off to repair what we had to we thought we'd just do the right thing & check everything over & freshen it up before it copped a hiding with the haltech fitted & because as ya know once the heads off it's buggar all to pull the short out. When it got stripped down we found what we found. And yes Tony is/has built the new engine. The only parts we retained were the rods, girdle, headstuds & oil pump everything was a right off or not fit for purpose. We finally have some major progress with it all. The head is all bar complete, the porting is all done & most parts are here but we've decided on some anti pump lifters cause of the setup we now have but that wont put us too far behind. We also recieved the long awaited throttle controller so it's full steam ahead with everything.

  28. See you can crack the poos, turn into a spoilt brat, brag about how you own a ferrari, pretend to know stuff about engines, and threaten to take mechanics to court over a broken oil cap.... and insult people's mums Or you can make a video clearly demonstrating what has happened, your reasoning why it happened etc, and get somewhere. Gee I wonder which one will be more successful? Not just with this engine issue, but life in general......

  30. It wouldn't be 10k from fg to fg. Was 10k from from bf to ba. Still exy exercise though. For fg you would prob need the trans, PCM, bell housing, pedal box, shifter and plastics, tailshaft, diff, trans cooler. Your best bet would be to find someone that is keen to convert to manual and swap. Otherwise it wouldn't be worth it.

  34. Sorry guys I meant Tailshaft not driveshaft (unless that's a problem area to?) What's more important to do first, obviously I can't do them all at once as I'm on a budget. I'm going with Monstatorque, dealt with Simon previously. Great tuner just awfully pricey compared to Rob.
