  1. Thought I would make a thread of my FG F6 Ute. The ute has been built and Tuned by Monsta Torque in WA with the following Mods Process west stage 3 Intercooler kit Process west Fuel Rail & Reg Process west Surge Tank with 2x044 Pumps ID1000 injectors Monsta Torque custom spec turbo bolted to the factory manifold. Monsta Torque Built 6 speed ZF (very tough box) Final Drive engineering built chrome molly tailshaft Manta Twin 3” s/s exhaust 4” Intake Kit The ute produced a healthy 440rwkw on E85 and ran a best of 10.53@133.5mph with a 1.69 60ft, with more than 10 passes in a row all in the 10.5X to 10.8X. The car has no stall and a stock fg bottom end. Would like to say a big thanks to Rob and Luke from Monsta Torque for taking the car as it was and getting it to how I wanted the car to perform without any hassles, their quality of workmanship and customer service is very impressive. They have exceeded my expectations. The car is a daily driver and has not skipped a beat. In action:

  7. Awesome day had a minor fuel pump fuse issue which I fixed, stink got me on the heads up sprints I had zero traction and the ul lose vlt was gaining on me in the top end but other than that nothing else got me

  8. Got my 650D on the weekend and love it! Just played around a little on auto and tried to use manual a bit but need to get my head around the settings. Hopefully once uni's over for the year I can get stuck into practicing!

  10. If you join a photography forum make sure the people there give real C&C. It's good for the ego to have a bunch of people post "great shot" or something similar, but it will do f*ck all to help you improve. Finding people who a) know what they're talking about and b) not scared to tell you the truth can be hard to come by.

  11. Was waiting for the big tune but OK. Atomic 698 GT-A is now in. Also fitted up the PW surge with twin 044's, PW Dual entry fuel rail and Turbosmart fuel reg. Car is going back to RDP on Wed. for Strengthened tailshaft and injectors then going to max out the turbo on pump 98 and e85. Lee is doing some research on the injectors to see if I can get away with ID1000's for 650-700hp on e85 or wether I will have to go to the ID2000's. Car is currently making 430hp @ 4500rpm on 10psi run in tune. Hoping for around 450rwkw on 98 and 500rwkw on e85. Will be getting the car back on the 7th of next month.

  14. Hey mate.. Id be lying if I said I remembered you.Wasnt the night I smashed my shaft was it ? :( Welcome to the clan!! Sounds like your enjoy your T. Theyre an amazing motor vehicle. And the more time you spend with it, it opens up its true capability and personality. You still have to learn how to drive to get the most out of them. Its not as simply as burying your size 9. 12.8 is a good time for a stocker.. I believe there all capable of a 12.. its all in the 60ft'er... master that and youll be in the 12's no prob. Let me know when your heading to the creek. Just put my strengthed shaft in this week... Oh and a small burn out is a good thing. Anlittle bit of heat and cleaning of the tyre does wonders. I aslo ran around 25psi in the tyres. Any lower and you start losing the suface contact patch in the middle of the tyre, Oh..also.. till you get used to it, just leave it in drive or performance.. that way you can just concentrate on your 60.. then progress to manual. I have yet to master that. It all happens so fast lol

  19. Never thought Id be salivating over a volvo.. I love the whole idea of retro conversions. I had an alfa 105 afew years ago (all time classic shape) and I dropped a Nissan SR20T with matching 5 speed, RX7 steering column,brake booster/master cylinder and pedal box,chassis connectors etc.. engineered. Body was rough ..so I finished the conversion and then pulled it apart to do the panel and paint.. never finished it and ended up selling it in pieces. :(

  26. In no world would I compare those tanks to the products being offered by PW, Plaz or KPM. The volume is tiny and the kits do not come as a complete bolt it setup.

  27. As I said, not all E10's are equal, it depends on what base fuel it is mixed with United 100 is E10, they also have lesser octane E10's

  32. I've heard mixed reports about atomic valve springs, I'm running a set in mime with no dramas but have heard of a few ppl breaking one of springs. And with the bf block o thought it was 06/06 that got the strenghthened internals...

  33. Yeah - have to be careful no accident damage. That can be a prime reason for selling low. Can't believe they wound sell a 2011 low just because of kays if it still presents well (which it should bring a 2011) !!! I have a tendency to buy private though - mainly cos I can see the owner hopefully and get a feeling for whether he would have maintained the car well (but accident damage caveat always there). There are plenty of threads on how to detect accident damage - paint over spray, paint finish rough/bubbly, paint mis-match, screw heads/nuts showing they have been undone as paint around base of them disturbed, the ol' run the magnet over panels to see if it don't stick due to putty, unexpected weld seams, rear turbo badges not aligned like normal indicating rear ender patched and the list goes on. Suggest you double check things with a brand new Ford at a dealership if you suspect anything. Good luck

  34. I (with the help of stazza_brendan and Trav199) pulled the cat section out of my 2010 fg turbo and pulled the restrictor ring out. SOOOOOO much better. Spools quicker and seems like it breathes alot better.

  35. Glide for 600rwkw 9k drive in out/ c4s are a bit less, yarra valley have a 4 speed that's 10k with a transbrake that would be good. If you want some glide owners details pm me.
