I am currently deciding on XR6T options, before placng an order. The premium sound system sounds pretty good!

What does everyone else think of it in comparison to the standard system?

Haven't heard the premium sound as it wasn't an option due to my circumstances. Would have like to add it though..what is the difference?

I have gone for this option. I have listened to it last week with back to back tracks from my BMW 8 speaker system. Its far superior and well worth the money. I look forward to listening to mine.

Not sure between the BA Premium and standard stereos but if the AU series is anything to go by. ;)

Lets just say it's like comparing diamonds to dogs**t!!!! Glad we went for the premium stereo upgrade in the AU III VCT and definitely glad we are going for the premium upgrade in the BA XR6. :D

Love my music, I'm a lead/rhythm guitarist and vocalist. Been in three (almost 4) metal bands here in Brisbane. Love my metal, nothing like a bit of Savatage, Megadeth, Korn, Type O Negative, System of a Down, you name it. If it's ballcrunchingly heavy with excellent guitar work then "Yeah Baby, I'll be pumpin' out the tunes in my XR.

Insert appropriate smilie here:

l havent heard the standard system, but am very impressed with the quality of the premium system.

For the extra money you gain an in dash six stacker, colour screen, subwoofer, tweeters in the A pillars and (l think) uprated amplifiers. l reckon its worth it, love the colour screen and think it would be very difficult to fit aftermarket head units due to the integration of the stereo with the cars ventialtion and other systems.

Wouldn't have anything but the premium sound. I enjoy music too much while driving.

The standard sound will do but it doesn't hold the important things like bass and the amp is just brilliant..

13 speakers, 250 odd watts, a subby and amp.... Can't go wrong...

ps, 6 stacker and colour TFT display is sexy!!

If I could afford but one option this would be it.

Cranked it up this morning (as loud as an old guy like me will allow myself) and with the mirrors moving and the crisp clear sound filling the cabin, I was amazed at how good it is. For $900 you get the goods.

Some will say that they need to upgrade it as the bass is not good enough. My thoughts are that the Premium system will make 96.73% of XR6T owners very happy they made the investment.

Go the Premium sound.

LionHeart, where are the 13 speakers located, My car hasn't arrived yet and I'm pretty sure that the dealer told me there is only 7 speakers in the car.

Does anyone else know if there is 13 speakers in the premium package.

Lets see,

There are two way speakers in the doors and parcel shelf, a sub and tweeters in the A pillars so that makes 11. l think Lionheart meant 11 not 13.

Either way it sounds great for factory audio.

This one is a bit tricky!

There are 7 speaker locations but 13 speaker elements

A pillars: 2 tweeters = 2 speaker elements

Doors: 2 way speakers = 4 speaker elements

Rear Shelf: 3 way speakers = 6 speaker elements + Sub = 1 speaker element

A total of 7 locations and 13 elements - Hope this helps
