Just a note for you guys/gals that don't like the fact that the traction control comes on automatically which leaves you reaching for that pesky hidden button. At your next service ask the tech to disable the T/C. It means from what I understand that its off for good. I/E wont come on even if you press the switch. Don't know if the tech will do it but it can be done!!

Dave.

Go and drive a T-ute in the wet (or dry for that matter). The only TC they have is your right foot and not much weight over the rear.

Interesting is one word................

I don't know why people would want to do that... It seems like a lot of trouble just to save yourself pressing a bloody button!

Laziness is one thing, but...

I think it's good to have the T/C as it comes, at least you have the option of turning it on or off. It has also help me a couple of times in the wet.

Iwonder if it's just a matter of getting it turned on in my XR6na?

I noticed all the wiring is there for the switch when I had the alarm fitted the other day.

I also would love to know, why isn't it an option for non-turbos?

That kinda follows the American Idea that we can turn off airbags...Bah Safety.Who needs it...I am pretty lazy but a button to save My panels or 500 odd dollars of rear tires sounds like a good idea...

Man has this stirred some comment. I hope this doesn't make people think us Kiwis mad and reckless. I only made the topic since people seemed to complain about the traction control. PS not turning mine off! And XR6na I think the XR6 comes with LSD so traction control is not an option.
