Car has been to his mechanic for services and maintenance etc for the whole log book. He's not happy with the economy and I can't blame him. Car "may" have been tuned by previous owner (seems to go harder than stock) but not sure. Any pointers on what may be an issue that lets the car run fine, but suck juice like there's a hole in the tank?

Maybe bad mechanic

If its been servied and everythings fine, consider checking the fuel pressure. Reg might be stuffed!

Typhoon Member 564 Member For: 19y 6m 6d Gender: Male Posted 23/06/18 03:02 PM Share Posted 23/06/18 03:02 PM Yeah that's real bad. If its not the O2 sensor and the fuel pressure is correct, as in not to high due to a faulty fuel regulator, ask him to add 10psi to his tires and see if that improves his fuel economy. Could be a dud fuel injector/s. What kind of engine oil is he running? Does he normally tow with the vehicle? Like a trailer or boat for example? Good luck!
