Hey all,

New to everything here so go easy..

I have a eboost 2  and I can not get the boost higher than 11.2..

BA xr6 t  ,    4 Speed auto

I am putting out 345kw at present.

Mods include:

*Bosch External fuel pump and external surge tank.

*4inch dump to 2.5inch twins

*plazmaman 700hp cooler

*plazmaman valve springs

*high flowed stock turbo

*custom piping and plenum

*modified air box/intake

*Bosch 1000cc injectors

*Stock actuator

*Eboost2

*Battery relocated

*Shift kitted and strengthened box

Suspension work and

Blah blah... You get the picture....

My question is about gate pressure, Sp1  boost pressure and the rest of the settings...

It WAS running at 10psi and going great..

And..... ?

yes I touched the buttons and didn't really  know what I was doing..... So I reset the settings by mistake...

Yeah yeah... I shouldn't have been playing with it... But I'm not here for a naughty boy talk....

It has now reset to boring mode...

I would like to know:

1/ What settings anyone else is running with simerlar mods...

2/ If the tune is set to 10psi can the eboost override that?

Or is that the Max...

The vehicle was only recently rebuilt

(top end)  so I think maybe the tune is a safe tune until it's run in...

Thanks in advance...

I'm Learning.. Go easy

Thoughts, questions, queries...

Send.......

Hey mate

despite having an EB2 you still have a stock ~5psi B series actuator which is good for around a max of ~12psi ....... see what we have here with your top end 11.2 figure ?

Even though you can have the EB2 Gate and gains cranked up to 60 the actuator is doing the “work” and needs to be upgraded

theres very random rare cases you can get higher boost with a stock actuator and a huge exhaust on a stock ported turbo but that’s not the situation here as you’ve listed a ported turbo ;)

these settings and actuators are extremely vital to the tune referance and I highly reccomend NOT stuffing with them as each incriminating gain on the EB2 will see a change in boost delivery and this 100% needs to be tied into the tune !

I say the same thing to my customers when I set up any aftermarket boost controller..... “it’s set, don’t touch it”

Get a new IWG style actuator and adjustable rod Genuine Garret 8 psi is good for a top end of 20psi ( an actuator can typically do double the work of it’s listed psi rating ) and you’ll probably not need to be that high for your target maximum efficiency of your hardware

once installed straight off to the tuners to have it set up with the tune :)

Make sure that the boost controller is turned all the way down after you fit it. You don't want it overboosting and hurting the engine.

Like jeturbo said, get it tuned after it is fitted.
