Clutch bleeding

Hi guys want to bleed my clutch and run some new fluid on the weekend. Anyone know what size plastic tubing I need to fit nicely over the bleeder so I don’t end up with fluid in the bellhousing? (fg MKII Tr6060 standard clutch).

Thanks.

Unfortunately the bleeder is in such a :pooh: spot that you're going to get fluid everywhere unless you already have a remote bleeder installed.

they either don't do it at all (which is basically what the service manual recommends, as it 'bleeds itself' via gravity bleeding, apparently)... or they have a specialised tool :icon_ford:

Worst design ever that bleeder.

Well worth fitting the remote bleed kit if your likely to bleed it yourself later on.

You can kinda bleed it by emptying the reservoir and refilling it with clean fluid, would take hours to get it clean and probably a have to press the clutch a million times.

only if you're going to be removing the gearbox at time of purchase... because you need to have the gearbox out to install the remote bleeder.
