Which in that case there's no need to be retuned. Either he puts the 5psi spring in the actuator to be 100% sure or puts on a genuine garrett/oem spec actuator to maybe eliminate the boost drop problem. If he's already bought an actuator and paid for labour to install it then it makes sense to spend a bit more and get it tuned rather than pay to return it to stock. I'm pretty sure the oem spring is less than 5psi (I could be wrong) so installing a 5 psi spring into an aftermarket actuator with adjustable preload could cause issues without a tune. The only fix I'd suggest is either get it tuned with injectors and pump at a minimum or installing a stock actuator. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
