Xr6t overboosting / wastegate not opening

The car has just recently started doing this, it boosts fine, until it hits peak and then it starts overboosting until the computer enters limp mode.

I get the code P1227 - wastegate failed closed (over pressure)

I have checked lines from turbo to solenoid and solenoid to actuator.

I then sprayed compressor air into the actuator line and it opened very easily.

So I decided to change the solenoid.

And it's still doing the same thing.

I'm wanting to know if anyone has had the same problem, and what it was for them.

I need the car so it's kind of hard to leave it with a mechanic.

And help is appreciated.

The flapper could be jamming halfway open, maybe only once the housing gets hot.

Hey, I had overboost problems after getting my heads replaced on my BA XR6T Mechanics couldn't find a solution until I got my mechanic to put one of these (type) on. Might be helpful. I have had no wastegate or overboost issues since and it's dialled up from the factory PSI setting.
