Hey guys. I'm new to this, I have a BF xr6 rebel non turbo and I want to put bigger brakes on it and slotted discs. Do you guys find it better putting aftermarket non turbo slotted brakes on or convert it to the BF turbo braking system. The next part is it possible to do this or do I have to change booster lines and master cylinder. Thanks in advanced

hmmm in order to do this you'll have to change out the motor and wiring loom for one from an xr6 turbo.

sounds like you're best to buy a wrecked xr6 turbo to swap the bits over from.

have I convinced you yet?

p.s. the brake booster and master cylinder is all the same even if you fit brembo brakes.

lol johnny

just replace like for like, if it's stock brakes for stock brakes. Just make sure you do rotors/calipers/pads as a set and it'll be fine.

Where are you from Nik?

I seen on gumtree a full t2 slotted rotor and pad combo for $400 for a BA xr8. Same size as na brakes. That's front and rear.

I'm from Christchurch New Zealand. I want a xr6 turbo especially the BF bee cause If the potential in the engine but the rebel is 1 of only 80 something as you enthusiasts know and I like how it's different than anything else . So if I go to a wrecker and get turbo calipers I can put new turbo discs and pads on??

Gods country.

You should be able to bolt the calipers and rotors on. Just make sure you get the brackets with the calipers of the rotors are larger than yours.
