This is from IPB - Hi Chris,

Do you have a way of consistantly replicating this? I dont seem to be seeing a problem when logging in using the username 'ralph' that you mention below.

Kind Regards,

Marc Stridgen

Don't think there was any way of forcing it to happen as far as I can tell.

Keith was going to setup a tracker on my user account to cross reference with the dates/times I posted in this thread as another user - there may be some data there that can be used if he ended up setting it up.

Well there's the solution!

Rename all users as ralph.

This turned up nothing useful. It pointed to random switching with no discernable pattern.

Rab is right, there's no sure fire way to force it to happen.

I think if the switching on and off of the caching from the back-end coincided well enough with the actions happening here, it would be enough information to say that we've found the culprit.

Found the symptom (user errors when caching is turned on), not the cause (shouldn't be having user errors when caching is on)

This is not a medical diagnosis :)

If back-end caching holds too much information and then subsequently returns too much information, that's the fault in and of itself.

I don't think there's a way to check if it's fixed other than time without an incident.

Pages are still refreshing when I hit the back button which they weren't doing while there were the issues, so so far so good.
