Okay so I am looking at spending a decent amount of money on a modified fg xr6t. The guy has thrown 10k at it and apparently has all receipts and such. I was wondering if you guys could tell me if this is a safe build or if I am looking at having to do more to this car after I buy it (forged engine parts, etc). The guy says its making 380 kw at the wheels and over 500 hp. All mods were done at http://www.forcedperformancetuning.com/Ford-FG-upgrades.html

This is the build

Process West s2 I/C kit (includes fitting)
Process West muffler delete pipe.
Advanced headers 4in dump pipe assy.
1000cc Bosch injectors.
Modify factory airbox.
Xcal4 flash tuning device & custom 98 tune.
Gt3582 core (includes new core, profiling comp cores, actuator, gaskets, oil line & fitting)
Springs/headstuds.
Fuel pump module - E85 compatable.

If you guys could even tell me what things are looking at having to be upgraded around the 500hp mark?

Welcome bro.

Above list seem spot on from total cost to work done is about right.

Has there been any upgrade to diff, gear box (manual or auto) brakes?

the transmission if its automatic.

mine has less power than that but a billet shaft and upgraded clutchpacks.

edit: of course this depends on how the car has been driven.

Stock exhaust with a dump pipe will flow 380kw but its getting to its limit but it won't attract attention. Muffler delete could of also been done as well.

Power seems about right for a 3582 on pump fuel (98)

Gearbox will be fine at that power as long as it hasnt been belted everyday. You will know when you drive it whats that's like.  Check for whinning, and how it shifts to start with, then randoms etc coming from the driveline

Overall car will be fine, power is decent and wont need to do anything except enjoy it. Perfectly safe at that power.

It can but not great for the thing.

Id def get a cat and zorst on it. duel 2.5 are pretty quiet and zero drone.

A new tune would be needed with a new zorst but also let u ow how the car is going as well which = peac of mind.

Be roughly 2k all up. chump change imo

Just buy and drive....quality parts used, good tuner (I think?).

Agree with pixy though....brakes, tailshaft and zf rebuild might be your future goals...if the box hasnt been thrashed already

Oh and wheels and tyres....if that's your thing  :spoton:

The tune might be working the turbo hard if that cat is stock, get a better cat/exhaust in there and you might be making the same power on less boost/heat.

Got a dyno graph showing boost levels?

Unless it actually has the cat done and you weren't made aware of it?
