Hi Guys,

looking for some feedback on how can I improve my time (60ft really)  I ran a best of 12.286 @ Calder Park on Sunday on my first time at the strip. I've got an FG XR6 Turbo making 336rwkw 1000cc injectors, GT3540 , PWR Stepped Cooler, Blue Power Airbox and used  275 M&H drag radials.

I didn't stall it up for fear of twisting my tailshaft (obviously it would have helped the launch) but I also think my burnouts probably weren't big enough possibly and this would have also affected the 60ft.

slip below.

Really didn't get any spin to be honest with the drag radials on. Just wasnt sure if theres anything else I'm missing apart from stalling it up.

sounds like you ran some pretty lazy times. Definitely the 60ft needs work. 330kw should be ok to leave the line hardish on a stock shaft. I think jet did a high 10 on a stock tailshaft

Yeah, stall should get you out of the trap quicker.

I think I got 1.8 on 245 Innvo's with about 310 at the rear

Keep in mind, without the tranny tuned the revs drop right off after a few seconds?? when stalling it up. (if I remember correctly - "safety feature")

I'm on a 12.1 atm, but few mph slower at the end than you. (dying to get out for another play - have 10 more wasps to play with now and some earlier/stronger boost)

Thanks mate!  I will see how I go anyway.  I think Calder is on again on the 9th of September so will hopefully get down there and have another crack!

what were you stalling it up to - around 2000rpm?

Looking over my past posts I think 2100 was ok, 2300 was spinning.

Looking back - my 60' was solid 2.1s (unable to get under 2.0s) - then once I put on the shockworks coilovers and was a solid 1.9 with a 1.8 my best that night.

Your MT's should get you out of the hole with better traction than my 245 street tyres were able to.

Am still very noob though and nothing I do yet I can reliably repeat, so each of my suggestions are made up of the best bits I've noted from different runs. One day I'll string them all together and go "WOW"
