Hi guys!

About to get the front bonnet and bumper of my FG XR6T resprayed due to a few stone chips and scuff marks and am considering getting a front car bra to keep it looking nice for a lot longer.

Would like peoples thoughts on what type to get and who they would recommend using. Seen cheaper ones on eBay, but look a bit ordinary.

Cheers!

I went to Car Bra. Super quick, very friendly service and the quality is great. They made mine from scratch and landed it in Perth just a couple of days later. I was very impressed.

I imagine anything cheap is chinese and if youve ever bought a dress from China, you'll know its a lottery.

Phil, did you ever have any issues with the bra. Did it scratch your car?

I have been told that the bra's cause more damage than protect your car?

I only use it for country runs and make sure the car was clean before it goes on. Which is why I didnt use it on the weekend southwest trip.

I'd expect if it was to mark the car, it would be light surface marks which would polish out. Far better than stone chips or honky nut dents.

I wouldnt leave it on for long periods though.

Put glad wrap on your front end then trim it away around the grille, then put bra on.it sweats a little underneath but doesnt hurt anything, ive driven in torrential rain with it on and it stays dry underneath, but I take it off when I get home, not good to leave them on wet especially if out in the sun. The proper aussie car bra's are a tight fit which is what you want, the underfelt on them is good but I use the glad wrap for extra protection
