Origin Access anyone?

Forty odd bucks a year or 7 bucks a month for 113 already released titles, a free go at upcoming unreleased titles and 10% off new purchases, with more games added over time.

If you like a bit of gaming it could be worth a go.

do you need the extra performance? seems like a fair investment for a reasonably small upgrade like that...

It's not lacking but the father in law wants an upgrade so I can give him my stuff and get new stuff otherwise he can just buy new stuff.

I already have a 1080ti, 1tb nvme boot drive, 32gb of high speed ram, 1tb of ssd game drives as well as 11tb of hdd storage for other crap so that's pretty much covered.

I spose it probably is a waste of money for a 15% increase.

Do yas reckon it's worth going from a 4790k to a 8700k for about a thousand bucks for cpu, mobo and ram?

if you've already got the 1080TI you might as well but personally im waiting for the next generation.

mate has 8700K at 5GHZ on water id be keen to get the same. I think he needs to delid it as the temperatures suck.

if you dont already have DDR4 and want 32gb of it prepare to pay the price.

for me im about to get a 1440p gsync ips display so im going to need a 1080TI or something soon..

I like the idea of getting a 4k monitor to replace my 1440p one but I think that current gpus aren't quite there yet. I get all the fps's at 1440p though, it's a good match. Lol I bought a ben q freesync monitor cos I had a couple of r9 290x's a while ago. It's a tn panel but it's also the first decent monitor I bought so it seems ok.

I saw...it's about a grand so I was going to stick with 16gb if I did upgrade.
