Rab, get rid of that dye, assuming that's what you've put in it. Regardless of what people say, the sh*t will either eat your plating on the blocks (nickel) or seriously gunk up the veins over time. Just use distilled with some decent anti fungal like pt nuke. It's also got a cososion inhibited due to the metallurgy differences.

Cheers - I've seen the issues people have with "pastel" colours and using stuff like glycol/antifreeze etc or the wrong PVC pipes for the fluid, but this is the 1st I've heard of an issue with the "proper" dyes being an issue.

(I didn't put the dye in - it's a branded/recommended one from the manufacturer of the blocks and all the other gear - EK-Cryofuel from EK Waterblocks - has got corrosion and bacterial inhibitors in it. That said - it does warn that it is "Suspected of damaging the unborn child")

Just a heads up for anyone running a skylake/kabylake processor - check if there's a new bios update for your motherboard in the last few weeks.

There's been a hyperthreading bug discovered recently with new bios's being released to correct it.

Applied a new bios this morning and seem to be able to run the CPU higher and cooler than before (auto tuning was giving me 4400 @ high 50's - new bios it's giving me 4500 @ low 50's)

finally sorting out the home network, work in progress - no where near finished. I'm teaching my apprentice how to cable so hes doing all the work. before I just had surface mount outlets and wall plates with no rack or enclosure.

I gotta say, the tp link POE switch has been perfectly reliable in the roof, I hope the camera NVR is happy up there too. The plan is to have it so someone could rip out all the infrastructure down below, turn the power off and still have cameras recording/uploading to internet. Also it'll be cool still having wi-fi when the power goes out.

I'll upload a pic when it's done, it's gonna look like cable porn so hopefully I don't get banned for posting it.
