From the title of this thread "FG Turbo ZF 6 Speed Diff Ratio" it is 2.73 from factory.

To accurately calculate RPM you need the diameter of the rotating assembly (the tyre). I'll do the following calculations for a stock 245/35R19 style tyre.

At 100km/h the RPM would be as follows in 6th gear of a ZF:

- Factory 2.73 diff: around 1530rpm

- 3.45 replacement: around 1940rpm

EDIT: since you said manual... I don't know which manual you mean, but I'll show you both-

For 100k/h the RPM for 6th gear of a T56:

- Factory 2.73 diff: around 1380rpm

- 3.45 replacement: around 1740rpm

and for 100k/h the RPM for 6th gear of a TR6060:

- Factory 2.73 diff: around 1220rpm

- 3.45 replacement: around 1540rpm

As the first gear in a ZF is so tall, changing out of a 2.73 to pretty much anything bigger will make it useless on the street.

If you're changing from a ZF to a manual, then it's definitely worth putting in a fairly bigger ratio diff.

I personally think a 3.0 ratio and zf tune to lock out 2>1 downshift unless you come to a complete stop would be a good thing.

Would make 2nd through 6th more useable and take some strain off the drive line

Thanks for the replies .Sorry had a few beers before that first post. I should have been clearer. I have a 6 speed zf my diff whine is annoying it needs to be replaced . I have been wondering if its worth changing to a 3.23 or 3.45 ratio . Is there a noticeable difference ? Does turbo load up good ? Thanks

If your car is stock, then yes why not. If its modded all it will give is more wheel spin. Go 3.45
