Well, here's the requirements by council:

The block is R30 zoning, which means, according to the R-Codes below, 24sqm is the minimum open space required, of which the council stipulates not less than 50% of that minimum open space must be without permanent roof cover...which is 12sqm, which I'm fairly certain I still have at the end of the patio and around the back and other side of the house...hopefully...

@rednose - is that slab diamond cut? Heard that this technique reduces concrete cracking. With I had done this rather than coating my driveway a few years back, looks good but does not last long.

Yes, Diamond cut.

I have a double driveway that was part of the home build. I widened it and concreted the back area in the pic and both sides of the house, the only cracks I have are in the existing driveway.
All the new concrete is crack free

and all these years everyone used to bag out wogs about concrete. Now who's laughing.

Let us know how you go with the travertine. I need heaps for around the pool and Alfresco area

The Tile Liquidator in Smithfield, that's where I got mine from.

 

I went for classic as I feel it suits the house, but they have silver and white aswell.

 

I got 30mm travertine pavers for the pool coping and around the pool area and 12mm travertine tiles for the alfresco area.

 

Same batch so the colour matches.
