Hi,

Does anybody know if I can put a xr6t lsd centre in my g6et?

I'm tired of 1 wheelin but can't afford a true trac.

and figured I would be able to get a centre from the wreckers.

would prefer not to have to buy the whole IRS cradle, but have seen them advertised

I also heard that I can shim the g6et diff centre so that it will spin 2 wheels, but I'm concerned this will turn it into a locker (and I don't know how to do it, just heard rumors)

any help would be appreciated.

I think they are both 30 spline axles, but can anyone confirm this?

is the same lsd in xr6t, xr8 and gt?

thanks

I'll be surprised if works out that much cheaper, unless doing work yourself.

I rang a diff shop inquiring about putting a XR6 LSD in over Truetrac and it came to about $300 difference!

Interested to hear what people say.

It will fit yes..
BUT

a truetrac will always provide MUCH better traction than an LSD..

my diff guy said like 30% lockup compared to 70% with a truetrac.. so theres a big difference..

if your getting it at the "right price" theres a chance its funked already or will be real soon.. SO

my advice if your set on buying it id rebuild it at a minimum BEFORE you install it as once u have done a RnR on the cradle

your not gunna wanna take on that job anytime soonly if u dont have access to a hoist or have the patience to do it again soon..

probably do your diff bushes while your there and have the cradle out for above reasons.. :)
