Ok Guys I am looking at a fit bit as some of u guys have mentioned.

Well I'm looking on the website and all that but I'm totally confused ....

So does it sync with your phone ? If so is it only an android thing? Coz I have iPhone?

Pros cons of different ones ???

Cheeeeeers

Anyway.. Bit more info..

Fitbit flex can only really measure steps and sleep.. It's makes up all this other crap like calories burnt etc.. You can use the app to record water and food intake.. But that takes a lot of effort.. The flex only has 5 LEDs which represent how close you are to your daily target (10,000 steps by default)..

The newer fitbit charge doubles as a watch.. Looks better.. I think it can also do heart rate (could be wrong).. Gives you an exact pedometer reading at any point..

Did I mention it doubles as a watch so you aren't wearing a useless skinny band on your wrist?

If you do some reading some people reckon the offerings from Garmin aren't bad either.. But they do full GPS tracking of run/cycle routes etc..

Oh if you're really keen you can get fitbit scales which also sync to your smartphone and allow you to track your weight..

And.. This is the main reason I have a flex.. For tracking my sleep..

It's not 100% accurate... But it gives a pretty good indication what your night was like.

http://www.fitbit.com/au/compare

Fluffy, I dont have one, but this page compares the different fitbit.

There is a bit on the page that you have to click which is the "See full comparison chart"

This will allow you to compare the functions each one has.

I found that jb hifi had the samsung galaxy gear fit on special for $149 and I orderedthat instead.

Got an email today saying that it shipped out today, even though I ordered it before christmas.

From what I can tell the fitbit connect wirelessly and not through bluetooth.

On this page http://help.fitbit.com/?p=flex there is good indication that you can connect it to the pc, windows phone, android and ios (iPhone)

I had a look at the Fitbit website but it was assuming I knew anything about them to begin with, it didn't give much of an overview, eg can sync with I phone to display caller id etc

Panda that's exactly what I was after thanks.

I was looking at the charge because of the watch feature and also the sleep monitoring, would be very curious to see what it comes up with.
