Hi guys.

I am in the market for a FG F6 and have finally found one in my state that fits my specs (low kms, colour,) and I am just wondering what particulars I should look out for when I go to look at it this weekend. It’s a 2012 FG MK2.

I am hoping there isn’t anything wrong with it as it’s only 14,000kms but I thought it can’t hurt to ask and have some idea before I turn up. I have already asked questions and have seen the receipts of engine work done by Autotech.

What things should I pay close attention to before sealing the deal?

Thanks!

Some of the older cars I seen had rust in the front end up under the front 1/4's but mk2 you should be ok

I just found out the valve springs are abit hit and miss on them with a tune also, talk with the tuner to get their opinion on the car also before you commit too.. hope it turns out sweet bud

Thanks for the reply mate!

Valve springs are upgraded when the tune and mods were done by Spiro at Autotech. Its does a safe and easy 368rwkw on 98. I am very lucky to have found this vehicle in QLD.

Going to meet the seller on Saturday and pick up the F6. Excited is an understatement!

This is it here.

Congrats on the new ride! What vehicle did you have before?

Did you go in for a tune/mods?

I've owned afew V8's over the years, still have a VK Brock Commodore, the F6 is to replace our daily BF XR6 (for the wife and kids)

Was hooked after driving one, their a weapon even stock form.. our car has had a tune/injectors before we brought it so took it back to the tuner just to get it looked at basicly but yeh she's down on power up top will get the valves changed out shortly then it'll do as the family wagon, a fun family wagon I should say

Great car. Great colour too...

What did you pay for it?

The asking price ($45k). Very good value I thought. 14k kms, power to 368rwkw, 6/4 brembos, suspension coil overs / sway bars and I get all the stock stuff (rims, exhaust, engine parts)

:)
