Last thing I need is the end to go completely smooth and therefore have to get someone to cut them out/do their special 'thing' like I had to do with my old car (where the nut was rounded and therefore stuck onto the stud). Anyways....getting a bit off topic.... Basically whilst trolling fleabay I noticed that there is the alternative option of nuts where a key goes into the nut; instead of a socket going over the nut. I shall call them "Type 1" and "Type 2" - cause I dunno wtf they are called, even though I'm sure there is a technical name for them I.e. inverted nut or some shizz? Here's my quick crop below:So the ones I have on my car ATM are the "type 2" ones; and noticed a couple are starting to round off and slip. Not sure if its because of all the 'rattle guns' that are used by mechanics/tyre places, etc. over the past year....or whether the material is crap and prone to damage easily (they are rota wheel nuts after all). So does anyone know which type is better; or are they both the same and basically I should be anal in that any time someone touches my car, I should be forceful and tell them NO RATTLE GUNS ARE TO BE USED; ONLY TORQUE WRENCH AND YOUR MUSCLES!!! lol Or can I tell them....use the guns to remove nuts, but torque wrench to do them up (or am I still risking damage by them even undoing the nuts with the gun?)If you have read this far; I would appreciate any comments and apologies if my post is too long and boring/annoying/stupid for you Any opinions greatly appreciated Cheers!Peter

Those rotas you put up look like a hybrid between the "type 1" and "type 2" that I have put up LOLBut you can see that the socket piece slips over the whole nut like the "type 2" ; therefore I assume you think type will be better/last longer?Or you just giving me some pretty pics to look at hahahP.S. those are basically the ones I have ATM, just without the extended/hollow part near the end... Why are my sh*t*y ones getting rounded then??Is it the use of rattle guns causing the damage?

I can't internet as good as you guys....but I assume you mean tell them to stop using rattle guns? P.S. I had to use the inverted commas that time
