Just chasing some arctic white paint to touch up my front bumper, unsure if arctic white is just one single shade of it theirs slightly different codes.

If different shades how do I find out the exact that mine is and secondly where would I get it from?

Live in perth NOR.

There are different shades of the Taxi white that have changed over the years. I can tell my front bumper has got the wrong shade or just poorly mixed from a respray the dealer did to cover the bottom scrapes we all get. I think (not sure from memory) it has the same paint code, and I think distinguished by yr. I had 4l mixed up to spray some cupboards and I wanted it to match my FG and the mixer mentioned the above.

But I wouldn't worry about it if just touching up.

You can buy small touch up bottles online, just look.

But if you are getting paint mixed find out if the paint mixer is aware of this cause if he isn't then go elsewhere.

Ford also have these in stock, I've bought two now. About $15 I think. Come with a small brush like nail polish. I Imagine Winter White would be common like Lightning Strike.

All cars will vary slightly, depending on the batch of paint they were done from the factory.

As for remixing, different brands of paint will vary the colour as well. They all use different tinters. For example, Glasurits straight white tinter will be different to PPG, so they have different formulas for what is the same colour. Could also depend on if the paint machine at the shop is stirred regularly enough. There is prob 4 different variants of that colour in the same paint code.

For example when we paint a car, we find the closest variant then match it from there. Rarely I would paint a white panel straight from the formula without extra colour matching.

I would just go and get some paint mixed up from your paint code.

Best bet would be to get a bit of 2 pack paint from a smash repairer and a bit of hardener to go with it. So you can mix them and brush touch as you need. This way the whole lot won't go hard. Or try a proper trade smash repair supplier, but I have no idea who is in your area.

Also I believe the code is A1 winter white.

Not arctic.
