Hey guys just looking at possible options to mix up the front end of the G..

Iv seen the mods some have done to the XR6 lower grille with the honeycomb cut out to show the Silver Cooler off.. and LOVE IT :D

Is is possible to be done, has it been done and do the lowers interchange at all ??

I reckon itd look porn painted in silver (like attchmnt) to match stock top and use the chrome ring from the standard grille to border it..

On the subject of mixing it up haha has anyone used the MARS lights at all.. thinking of the black option not full smoke front and rear for something different to blacken out a bit more.... the LED parkers look good I think and would suit..

heres a pik of what I mean with grille and my car is black will look similarish..

cheers

I think Dags mentioned somewhere that he regrets installing the black headlights as they don't throw enough light.

Yeah cool thanx Ben never thought of that being an issue :/

They come with a few bulb upgrade options so definately would need that I think now after hearing that..

More interested in the Grille for now though :)

my mate a bit of a loose canon but his just chopping the mesh part out and leaving the chrome surrounding? he originally had it blacked out and looked good, that's a thought if you cant interchange them?

HAHAHA myself and loose cannons have a lot in common usually :)

Not a bad plan I think to give it a bit of a hybrid touch on both ;)

Maybe leave the 2 outer sections and carefully cut out the centre parts and dremel the surfaces flat..

cant hurt to buy a new 1 and give it a whirl cause u have to cut out the honeycomb on the XR ones anyways so may as well try n keep it similar to standard as possible..

I have always liked the look of an exposed gtr kinda look of a cooler..

go for it mate, all you have to lose is the mesh of a grille but if it looks good you will be setting the trend..lol well u and my mate will.

Any chance of a PIk EFSIX ????

I know this looks ordinary with the cooler done like this LOL

but u get the idea of what the outer sections left in looks like..

I spose u can call it the g6e version of the other ones people have chopped out..

there is also the option of painting it black and the top section too and I have some plasti dip here so cant hurt to have a crack there

and then get it done properly if it works out..

might be worth finding a second handy and having a chop :D haha
