I have a failed front wheel bearing in my FG and was wondering if anyone has a FG shop manual with torque specs for front end suspensions and brake bolts so I can torque everything back up to oem specs?

Also does anyone have any experience with non genuine front wheel bearing for an FG, should I be avoiding any particular brands?

Going to try and get a pair of bearing tomorrow and change both sides out while I am at it.

Cheers

.....should have done a search first :)

Found the front suspension torque specs in the following thread: http://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/topic/84619-fg-suspension-specifications/

Now any particular brand bearings that I should avoid?

Cheers

Tried some cheap ebay ones and didn't last 6 months.

I wont have time to get anything from ebay, so will either be whatever Repco sell or oem.

Only issue is my oem units packed up with less than 40000kms on them with relatively easy driving.

Cheers

Arron are you refering to front FG bearings? I know the B series single hub nut needs to be done to 300Nm.

The FG bearings are a sealed non servicable unit, basically the entire hub that attached to spindle with 3 bolts. Also a bit more than $140 from my local Fraud dealer. Covs on the other hand are always a bit better.

Can anyome confirm if the torque specs in the above link are accurate? 126Nm for the hub to spindle bolts.

Cheers
