What tyres are people running on the rears of their utes?

I'm finding mine break traction waaaaaaaaaaaay too easy in the wet, especially if there is an incline in the road. Really have to feather the accelerator... And if it happens to change gear while climbing a hill... be prepaid to catch the arse end as it goes WEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE :o

And yeah, I know she has a turbo... and lots of power and its wet... and my old turbo diesel 4by would do it if you stomped it hard enough... But... This is minimal power.

I meant to look at the brand/name of the tyre before typing this thread, but its too far to walk to the carpark with a buggered knee :s

Currently running KU31's and they break out at any given oppotunity. Been doing some light reading and it seems Nitto Invo are the best bet. Looks like around $600-$700 delivered for the 2. I was a bit apprehensive on the brand but found out they're just the north american branch of Toyo Tyres.

Never been a fan of cumho tyres...

The front of the Ute has Pirelli Cintura P1's and the back has Pirelli P7's.

Couldnt see anything that Cintura b randing or any identifying marker to say they are the high end p7's.. Either way...

Seems to be good reviews on the Good Year Eagle Directional 5's and even better on the Asymmetric 2's

Low profile tyres are such a rip off.. at least for 250 a corner I got a lot of rubber on the 4by :wwww:

Best tyre I have used by far was the Yoko AD08, unbelievable dry grip but horrible in the wet. Though they were $460 a corner on 245s so you paid for it!

Let's split the difference and call it 60 bags?

As for gear dropping in the wet...
