Hey guys I have a celica gt4 rallye and In the process of putting a new turbo and manifold and dump pipe on.

Just wondering if anyone has any experience with these and what else is required with the new turbo?

It's gonna be a sorta quick rebuild

I'm putting on a new manifold with a t3 flange so I can put a t04e or even a used fg snail on there and that should be happening next week along with the rebuild and then lots of interior and exterior work. Should be a few exciting months..

I didn't think anyone would be interested in a gt4

I just want a weekender to go for a blast with

The g6 is an awesome daily and heaps of fun but it's not the same as a awd turbo manual

Hi,

I used to do a few ST185 GT4's quite a few years back.

They are great little engines, the stock turbo and manifold/cat design where a bad point however.

Very common for the wastegate seats to crack.

If running the stock ECU you will hit factory boost cut at anything over 10 psi from memory.

The check engine light will come on, you will then need to switch the ignition off and restart the car for the boost cut to reset.

If you have a look on my photobucket account, there is a ST185 GT4 I built a 3SGTE for, custom intake plenum, stainless headers,GT35R,front mount cooler, full forged engine.

My Photobucket account is supercharged88

Regards

Dave.

It's got an aftermarket ecu already and going to a new manifold with a gt3076 and it's already got a front mount..

I could never wreck it I don't have the heart to
