It only happens under load/boost but it sounds like its got a supercharger under the bonnet. Nothing at idle or even stabbing on the accelerator whilst stationary.

I've poked my head around the engine bay but no clues.

It sounds like loud whistle and I was thinking boost leak somewhere but just can't see anything.

Any suggestions welcome. Otherwise got to put it on a dyno to pinpoint this one.

If it is a decent leak which it sounds like it is, then spray your intake circuit with start ya bastard or throttle body cleaner.

These products are very flammable and will increase your idle if sucked into the engine. If your idle changes when you spray a certain area then that's where it will be leaking from.

Keep it away from paint work.

Mine FG does it under boost aswell... From the minute I bought it brand new... If it's a FG.... But I have heard plenty of FGs do it from a XR to F6... Love the sound of it.. Lol people look when they hear it.

Went for a drive today. Definately the same noise as in the video.

Is that a could be or definately turbo.

If its the turbo then the tuner who did this car must have put a used BA/BF turbo in this FG as I considered the turbo to have done too few Km to be causing a problem.

I guess that must be the noise when the ball bearings in the turbo start to cause issues.

But then Pazzo reckons that he has heard it on low km cars.

I guess alot of people will be scratching their heads as its quite a cool sound at boost (but becoming annoying).
