Hope she gets better Adie. I donate every 3 months. Been doing it since I can't remember but there was a big gap in between. It's a good feeling knowing what your doing I'd not just helping someone but probably saving their life

So get onto it if you have never done it before. The needle don't hurt - I honestly think its just a numb warm feeling - and everyone at the Red Cross is all smiles and professional. Like my fellow fat bastards have said - get a feed od sausage rolls and milkshake etc afterwards. Plus all the candy you can pocket

Hold off on the beer the nite before though - not only will you be dehydrated but you might be adding "extra" unwanted value :roflmbo:

Nurses at blood banks have to be good. If they weren't people may have a bad experience and never go again.

giving blood is a great thing and only takes a little time.

I've had to delay my donation, but for good reason. Have to go have a blood test to see if I'm a compatible bone marrow donor for my sister.

Blood test + donation too close together would brig back my anaemia :(

Was hoping everyone who donates could do my sister a favour...shes putting together some photo collage thing of people donating, so if you happen to be in there can you get a photo of yourself giving the thumbs up, while donating?

Cheers.
