Would have been nice if the admin would have left the state posts where they were. Some were conversations about transport that would be better to stay specific.

My advice, those who choose to stand in the way usually end up being run over.

Sorry to disturb the Off Topic area.

So, where were we? That's right, THE BIGGEST XR6 TURBO ONLY EVENT EVER!

Problem I found in the past is the powers that be had no care for it.

When was the last time this forum did a track day?

What exactly are you basing this on?

http://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/forum/145-drag-and-circuit-racing/

Plenty of track days in there that I can see.

I will be interested to see if you can see this through to fruition, all it needs is for someone to step up to the plate and take the reigns instead of constantly playing the blame game because there isnt somebody laying it at your feet for you. :ibrungatorch: How about instead of trying to burn the house down try taking it to the next level....

Go for it man lets see it happen. :spoton:

The give a f*ck meter is something I'm not surprised by. Amazed it still even works Dags.

No house being burned down, just trying to light a rocket under the ass of those who can HELP make this happen.

And a general public test and tune isn't my picture of a XR6 Forum ran track day.

How's the Maloo?

What Maloo?

I'm happy to HELP in what ever way I can, as long as what you want me to HELP with is on the forum and its content.

As I said you got the ball rolling its not up to me to see it through.

Go for it man lets see it happen. :spoton:

Yeah, I agree. A State of Origin competition would only be incorporated into a Nationals itself.

This thread was just to stimulate conversation and gauge interest and support.

I'm sure once dates are confirmed we will see an official thread. In speaking with the 3 options for a of venue, a 2014 date will be more realistic. Most tracks have their dates locked in by now. All 3 had varied rules around camping but can offer it.

Calder Park has recently canned all of its bookings done through Bob Jane since Rodney took over. They have dates available this year and could accommodate track events and drag racing. Costs are less then Eastern Creek. Will know more Monday.

QR is 2 venues ran separately. Camping there may be harder. To turn the lights on at the drag strip cost twice as much then to run a day only event.

I got an uncle who runs iRace and did the AMRS. A big help.
