Take a look at this site. For $23,000 you can get a V6 that makes the same power as an F6 or HSV. For $54,000 you can get a supercharged V8 that makes over 400kw! This is in America of course though.

Might want to look a little closer. The V6 makes 323hp and the 6.2 V8 makes 426hp.

The 54k V8 makes 580hp which is close to the 400kw the OP suggested.

But the 6 cylinder only makes 323hp.. Still not bad though..

Check this out. If you click on the top photo it will run through a whole heap of Vids, including the ring lap. 172 mph down the the straight. Considering the Camaro is built on the VE platform I think that it would be safe to say this is what will power the next generation HSV. Game on.

So just saw this Chev Camaro coming to Australia - HSV working on converting them to right-hand drive from July onwards (but alas the top of the range ones so still a bit exy) :dancing:

Never hired one whilst I was in the States as they were either all sold out or way to expensive ...
