start looking for fencers.

My fence was a pile of sh*t and had to come down for the plumbing so I bought a post hole digger along with a bunch of posts, palings, tools and sundries and put it up myself with some help from the missus.

I reckon it only cost a grand for about 8 metres of 6 foot high paling fence and obviously I have the tools and sundries etc etc left to play with another day. Haha I hand nailed the entire farker in one sitting. That sucked a fat one but saved another couple of hundred bucks.

A picket fence ain't much different and if you're handy you'll save yourself a few bucks. Haha just remember to "dial before you dig" though ;)

Yeah, nah.

Am looking at about 40m of colorbond plus gates etc.

Taking the opportunity to update the whole lot.

Haha I just remembered looking at a picket fence in one of your pics. Colorbond is just as easy if not easier as it just goes together like lego but putting up a fence isn't everyone's cup of tea and it's fairly time consuming too.

But hey at least you didn't get shafted by the insurance company ay?!

Happy days :)

Digging holes. Especially for soakwells. They can go get farkkked. Also anything else to do with working around the house. House maintenance in general. All that sheet. FFS.

I'd much rather be working on my car!

@Renton more than welcome to come to my house mate and work on it.

A good home owner will always be working on their house, just like a car it also needs maintenance.

Trying to get quotes for the fencing.

4 mobs - 1 made a time to turn up and quote and were a no-show.

None of the other 3 have gotten back to me.

Sounds like me with electricians at the moment. Trying to get quotes to run power to my shed. One of the sparky supervisors at work put me onto his mate who he said is just starting up his own business. So spoke to him Friday and organised for him to come yesterday/Tuesday at 530pm to quote. Rings me at 4pm. "Sorry mate I'm not going to be able to do the job as it's too far for me drive" yep thanks mate. It's probably an hour drive!
