Probably because I adjusted the bars to tuck them up a bit so they weren't as visible. Will have to put them back into more of an anti squat position.

Finding that people and local clubs are using my photo's to promote their club or their child without asking me to use my photo's.

Photo's are crop so watermark is taken away.

Think it's time to send my bill. Don't pay I'll pass it onto me lawyer.

EDIT= just counted one club only has taken 50 photo's.

@Pixy Angel

This is an introduction to copyright in Australia.

This is information about protecting your copyright.

No need to get mad or send the bill so to speak. Just take the steps required to fix the situation.

As you will see in the links provided it doesn't matter if the photos are cropped as they are still under copyright. If anything it works in your favour as it shows that the company was aware of the copyright and took deliberate steps to use your work without authorisation.

A lawyer should be able to send a letter on your behalf for just a few hundred dollars.

Woosah my friend.

You're right to be pissed off mate. Someone has taken your work without paying.

Do you have a website where people can browse and purchase your work?

If this place is using so much of your work then they clearly like it and would probably rather pay for what they have used so far rather than take it down.

Have a read of this or a similar website. You'll need to know how much your photos are worth before talking with prospective clients/copyright infringers.

Remember to keep it professional as I'm guessing that you are the face of the business.

I'm sure you'll have it sorted in no time mate :)

Totally agree.

Will need to email/speak to Club President first might be able to come to an agreement.

As the owner and trying to make a name for myself will have to very professional about otherwise I wont get any work.

Cost is very reasonable but when you take it without paying or asking price goes UP, a lot. For those photo's that have been cropped it's even more again.

So what could have been a few hundred could be more into the thousands now.

You have two outcomes.

One you'll get paid and the other you won't.

If you won't take a fair price then ask for 10X the price and the club won't pay then the only option you leave yourself is to get them taken down.

No doubt you can get them taken down but it'd be better to be paid yeah?
