Also you say you ordered a hub assembly?? I'm assuming this is for the front? If not the Ute's don't have a separate hub it's all one big peice mate

A mate said to buy a whole assembly rather than just the bearing as that's what they usually do where he works & it would be a sh*tload easier as I don't have a press.

Well this is what I ordered anyway.

lol because of the spanner abuse?

Yeah, I think its because you're condeming a really nice tool for the rest of your life and the tools life to that crappy job you had to do once.  And you'll always see it in the draw and it'll stare back at you, taunting you because you know you'll have to do that job again one day in the future....

haha, the spanner is fine. It just doesn't work when it's on the backward (forward?) face as well as it once did. It was 100% worth it on a cheap spanner. Plus, I have two 13mm spanners :)

A tool is good if it does the job - sounds like a good tool

I asked my wife if I could make a witty post about her from that quote.

She said no :girlimpossible:

Your mate has taken a marijuana. That ebay listing seems to be for a sedan with the wrong description/photo. You want one of these. http://m.ebay.com.au/itm/FORD-FALCON-UTES-PANEL-VANS-XH-AU-BA-BF-FG-XR6-XR6T-XR8-REAR-WHEEL-BEARINGS-2-/301456633363?nav=SEARCH

Repco is cheaper than this and they supply a Timken bearing inside a repco box. About $40 each side if I remember correctly. If you want to do the front bearings then yes it is easier to buy the whole hub as the bearing comes pressed in. Not the case for the rears mate. Just remove the bearing yourself and take the bare axle into a suspension shop n they will charge you bugger all to press the new stuff on mate
